After cashing our NASCAR AI predictions for the second week in a row, we're putting our AI model to the test this week in Sin City for the Pennzoil 400 today at 4 p.m. ET (FS1) from Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

We've switched from our ChatGPT picks last year to a brand-new simulation model powered by Claude - the trending AI chatbot by Anthropic known for its complex reasoning skills - which called Tyler Reddick as a long shot two weeks ago and nailed Ryan Blaney's win last week in Phoenix.

Note these picks are for entertainment purposes; for more (human) analysis, check out my full NASCAR predictions at Las Vegas for today's race.

🤖 NASCAR AI predictions to win Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas

NASCAR AI predictions generated via Claude for entertainment purposes.

Pick to win: Kyle Larson

The intermediate track king gets the simulation's nod at the first true 1.5-mile oval of 2026. Larson has three wins at Las Vegas and finished top 3 in five of his eight NextGen era starts here. He's coming off a P3 finish at Phoenix and starts P5 with clean air ahead of him once he clears the JGR cars up front. Hendrick Motorsports has won four of eight races here in the NextGen era—all four by different HMS drivers. Larson's long-run speed and throttle discipline make him the most likely driver to control the final stage.

Best value bet: Bubba Wallace

Wallace qualified P4 and Toyota swept the top four starting positions. He led 25 laps across two trips to Las Vegas last year and picked up stage points three times. The 23XI Racing car has shown genuine intermediate speed early in 2026, and Wallace's bad results here in recent years don't reflect his actual performance—he's had pace but encountered bad luck. At nearly 20-1 with a front-row-adjacent starting spot, the value is substantial.

Best long shot: Ross Chastain

Chastain has finished top 5 in five of his last eight races at Las Vegas. He won Stage 1 at COTA before a loose wheel derailed his run, and he's been a consistent threat at 1.5-mile tracks throughout his career. With a +1300 price that doesn't reflect his actual track history here, the simulation sees him as a sneaky top-5 threat with win upside if the race goes long green.

🔥 NASCAR AI prop bets for Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas

NASCAR AI predictions generated via Claude for entertainment purposes.

Kyle Larson top 3 (+110)

Larson has finished top 3 in five of eight NextGen starts at Las Vegas, including a P2 last fall. His 2017-2024 track record includes six top-3 finishes and three wins. The math says this should be closer to -150 than +110. The simulation gives this a 52% likelihood against an implied probability of just 48%.

Tyler Reddick over Ryan Blaney (H2H, -115)

Blaney has historically struggled at Las Vegas despite his Phoenix dominance. Reddick won the first three races of 2026 and starts P7 versus Blaney's P6—but Reddick's intermediate track speed has been elite this season. The simulation projects Reddick P5 versus Blaney P8, giving this matchup a 58% likelihood.

Bubba Wallace top 10 (+150)

Wallace starts P4 with Toyota showing dominant qualifying speed. He led 25 laps across two 2025 visits and has three top-10s through four races in 2026. The simulation projects him P6, giving this a 55% likelihood against an implied probability of 40%. Best value prop on the board this week.
