The Minnesota Lynx (13-13) delivered an upset victory as double-digit underdogs on Sunday, handing the Connecticut Sun (18-7) an 87-83 defeat. The rematch will take place inside Mohegan Sun Arena just two days later, but will we get a different result?

My power ratings are right in line with the best sports betting sites, as I project an 11.4-point spread and a total of 162.3. Perhaps we're all underestimating the Lynx, who are coming off wins over the New York Liberty and Sun while playing without Napheesa Collier.
With a rematch taking place so close to Sunday's loss in the same arena, there's a chance that Connecticut comes out even more motivated, but I see no reason to force a play on the spread or total when my numbers don't agree with it.
Instead, I'm banking on Alyssa Thomas to continue to having success as a facilitator for a Connecticut team that should perform better on Tuesday. Thomas tallied 11 assists in Sunday's loss to the Lynx en route to a triple-double performance that included 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Thomas ranks second in the league with an average of 8.1 assists per game and is consistently flirting with this assist line during an impressive campaign. She's recorded at least seven dimes in 10 of her last 11 games.
In three regular-season meetings against the Lynx, Thomas is averaging 9.7 assists per game. Minnesota ranks 11th in the league, allowing 21 assists per contest. Thomas tossed 16 dimes in 40 minutes on June 1, while only recording two assists in 28 minutes on June 22.
Assuming Thomas plays closer to her average of 36.4 minutes per game, I like her chances of finishing with nine or more assists in a revenge victory over Minnesota.
