Jake Paul vs. Tank Davis Canceled

The Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight - and fight card - originally scheduled for Friday, Nov. 14 at Kaseya Center in Miami will no longer be moving forward, according to a statement released by Most Valuable Promotions.

"MVP thanks everyone for their patience and looks forward to delivering an extraordinary boxing event in 2025, live globally only on Netflix," the statement read.

Jake Paul was a significant underdog on the opening odds for his exhibition bout against Tank Davis. Davis is considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet, and at a modest 30 years old (31 by fight night), represents a new type of opponent for the former YouTuber.

Just a few days ago at Kalshi, the market flipped and had Paul as much as a 92.3% favorite vs. Davis. That has since changed back to have Davis at 52% to win after he peaked at 89.3% on Oct. 22 and again at 79.5% on Oct. 23. Yes is selling at 61 cents, with no at 45 cents.

To date, the fight has drawn $13,439 in trading volume at Kalshi. Expect that number to rise significantly over the next two weeks.

I've seen enough Jake Paul "fights" by this point that it's foolish to bet against him. The former YouTube star carefully hand-picks his opponents, and he doesn't fight to lose.

Though Davis has the best boxing resume of anyone Paul has faced in the ring (no, I don't count Mike Tyson at his age), there's no overlooking the fact Paul is 8 inches taller, has 11 inches more reach, and is nearly 60 pounds heavier.

Jake Paul via points or decision (+430) is the best early bet to make. Expect more prop markets to be released as fight night in Miami draws closer, but the odds will likely shift more heavily toward Paul as time goes on.
