I'm not sure which is more staggering: combining the goal exploits from the previous season of the favorites to win the Golden Boot, or adding up their cumulative salaries.

Either way, we're in for a treat at the 2025 Club World Cup, which boasts the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, and Harry Kane as we offer our Club World Cup goal-scorer picks and best props.

I have no doubt the world's three most prolific strikers - Haaland, Mbappe, and Kane - will be jostling and tugging to and fro for the title of Club World Cup Golden Boot winner. However, I'm leaning toward Haaland for a couple of reasons.

For one, he's the most physically robust of the three. That should allow him to bully the rearguard of comparative minnows like Wydad AC and, to a lesser extent, Al Ain.

Haaland is also the arrowhead of Manchester City's formidable attack. Real Madrid's goals are usually more equally shared between Vinicius Junior and Mbappe, whereas Haaland is the undisputed lead man at City. I don't have as much faith in Bayern Munich's overall offensive prowess - the only reason I'm not backing Kane.

Finally, Haaland has scored 121 goals in 142 competitive matches since joining City, and with Rodri back on the team, the Norwegian is poised for a standout tournament. FanDuel is on its own with these +650 odds, which would yield a $65 profit on a winning $10 bet.

He's arguably the most lethal multi-faceted offensive weapon in the world, and I expect him to make sure everybody knows it by the end of the tournament.

Vinicius scored 21 goals and added 18 assists in 52 matches this season and enjoyed a highly productive Champions League before Madrid were humbled by the Gunners, with eight goals and three assists in nine matches.

Atletico is an excellent tournament team, as evidenced by their performance in the Champions League over the last decade.

They know how to grind out results and have one of the most stubborn, sturdy, and frustrating defenses to play against. And they have a somewhat favorable route into the quarterfinals.

If everything pans out as I predict, they will secure second place in Group B, meaning a Round of 16 tilt against one of the four following teams: Al Ahly, FC Porto, Palmeiras, or Inter Miami. Only Palmeiras scares me, but not enough to deter me from this prop bet.
