2024 Enjoy Illinois 300 Odds, Picks: NASCAR Gateway Preview at WWT Raceway

Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Ryan Blaney are the favorites to win Sunday's Enjoy Illinois 300 race at WWT Raceway, as we offer our picks based on the best NASCAR odds from our best sports betting sites.
NASCAR drivers and bettors hope Sunday's Enjoy Illinois 300, taking place at WWT Raceway in Madison, Ill., transpires differently than last week's rain-shortened Coca-Cola 600. The green flag should wave at 3:30 p.m. ET (FS1).
Kyle Larson is among the favorites by the NASCAR Cup Series Championship odds and will be eager to put on a good performance this weekend after last Sunday's disastrous attempt at The Double ended with him arriving in Charlotte mere minutes before NASCAR called the race for extreme weather.
Christopher Bell was crowned the winner last week after leading through 249 laps, and he's among the favorites for Sunday's race behind Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Ryan Blaney. Those three own the shortest odds, with Kyle Busch - who won last year's race - in the mix in a crowded field at Gateway.
Here are the latest Enjoy Illinois 300 odds and our expert picks for Sunday's race at WWT Raceway (NASCAR odds via our best sports betting apps; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

WWT Raceway track analysis
While it's technically called World Wide Technology Raceway, many fans still refer to this track - formerly known as Gateway Motorsports Park - as "Gateway" with the famed Gateway Arch in St. Louis just a few miles away over the Mississippi River.
The NASCAR Cup Series made its debut at this 1.25-mile flat track in 2022, so it doesn't have a ton of extended history with high-level stock car racing. That said, Gateway has long hosted Xfinity and Trucks races and has earned a reputation as a demanding track that favors experienced and resourceful drivers.
It's no coincidence that the two drivers to win the Enjoy Illinois 300 - Joey Logano (2022) and Kyle Busch (2023) - are the only active drivers with multiple Cup Series championships. It's also why many of the favorites for Sunday's race are former champions, too, with plenty of success on intermediate tracks.
Enjoy Illinois 300 predictions, race preview
With the way last week went for Kyle Larson (+700), I'd have a tough time betting against the No. 5 car this weekend, especially with these outlier odds from BetMGM.
Larson fought hard to finish fourth in this race a year ago, and he still paces the field in laps led (648), top-fives (six), and poles (three) despite missing last week's race entirely. He's also a machine on intermediate tracks, having won 10 of his last 34 races on those courses with two wins already this season.
Aside from the Cup Series favorite, it's hard to lay short odds on any other driver at this track, which lacks history and could coax some mechanical chaos this weekend. That leaves me hunting for relative values and relying on our best sportsbook promos in a rather disjointed week for the overall NASCAR market.
For example, Ty Gibbs (+1400) is dealing as short as +600 at BetMGM while carrying 14/1 odds at FanDuel. I'm compelled by that second number after the youngster finished in the top three at Phoenix (third) and Darlington (second), the two tracks most similar to Gateway from the first half of this season.
He also won the pole last week at Charlotte and led 74 of the first 251 laps before the race was ultimately shortened due to weather. It's only a matter of time before Gibbs breaks through for his first win, and this feels like the track to do it.
It's a similar story for Chris Buescher (+1800), who was 0.001 seconds from winning at Kansas and posted another second-place finish at Phoenix earlier this season. The speed has been there for the No. 17, and these long odds from BetMGM make him an intriguing play to score his first win of the season.
If you're looking for a long shot, Alex Bowman (+4500) has finished in the top 10 in five straight races and eight of his last 10, and he's +200 via FanDuel to do it again. He also has the fifth-best average finish at Darlington, Kansas, Dover, and Phoenix - four tracks similar to this one - from earlier this season.
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the long-ish prices on Joey Logano (+1400) and Kyle Busch (+1400), two previous winners at this track with shorter odds elsewhere. Personally, I won't be betting either ahead of Sunday, but I wouldn't be shocked if one of them doubled down at Gateway and therefore can't knock anyone for sprinkling a few bucks on the previous winners of this race.
