After his win last week at Richmond, Denny Hamlin is the favorite by the latest Cook Out 400 odds as we offer our Cook Out 400 picks based on the best NASCAR odds for Martinsville Speedway from our best sports betting sites.

Fresh off his exhilarating victory at Richmond, Denny Hamlin emerged as the prime contender, according to our best sports betting sites. With his sights set on securing his third win of the season, the upcoming Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway signals the start of a thrilling doubleheader at the track, kicking off at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, and broadcasted live on FS1.

Hamlin, still among the favorites according to the latest NASCAR Cup Series championship odds, showcased his prowess by outmaneuvering teammate Martin Truex Jr. in the final restart last week, clinching victory at the Toyota Owners 400. With another short track race on the horizon, Hamlin is eyeing his third victory in four weeks, while we take a look at the several other drivers vying for supremacy on the leaderboard.

Here are our Cook Out 400 picks for Sunday's race based on the NASCAR odds for Martinsville Speedway (odds via our best sports betting apps; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Cook Out 400 field

This year's spring race at Martinsville Speedway features 37 drivers, including 35 eligible for points and each of the last five winners of this race.

In addition to winning last week at Richmond, Hamlin boasts the most wins at Martinsville (five) of any active driver - just ahead of Truex (three), who is looking for a bounce-back performance after last week's late-stage meltdown. Last year's spring winner, Kyle Larson, returns to this track looking for his second win of the season.

Reigning Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney also finds himself among the favorites as he looks for his first win of 2024. He's already posted three top-five finishes this year and owns the highest average finishing position at Martinsville of any driver in the field (ninth) after claiming his first win here in the 2023 fall race.

Cook Out 400 expert predictions

Favorite: Denny Hamlin (+500 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐

Hamlin has won two of the last three races this season, has dominated on short tracks like Martinsville, and has the most wins at this track of any driver in the field (five). It's hard to knock a bet on him here, even at these short odds.

Hamlin also has the most top-five finishes (19) of any active driver at Martinsville, which might be a better way to bet on the No. 11 car if you don't want to lay these short odds. That said, he's led more laps at this track (2,382) than anyone else, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him take his second checkered flag in as many weeks.

Long shot: Joey Logano (+1200 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After a frustrating start to his season, Logano bounced back in a big way last week with a second-place finish at Richmond. And he's primed to do damage at a track that has treated him well over the years.

Logano ranks third among active drivers in laps led (1,123) and average finish (10.9) at Martinsville and he's scored 11 top-fives here with five second-place finishes. He's also been electric in qualifying, leading all active drivers in poles (five) with the fastest-ever qualifying time at Martinsville back in 2014.

The No. 22 has finished in the top 10 in nine of his last 10 races at this track, boasting an average finish of fourth in the Next Gen car. At this market-best price at FanDuel, it's hard not to take a shot on Logano winning his second race here.

Prop: Chase Briscoe top-10 finish (+100 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm certainly not the only one highlighting Briscoe ahead of this year's Cook Out 400, and this isn't the best number available all week. But it's one you should absolutely consider betting, anyway.

Briscoe has only raced seven times at Martinsville, but he ranks fourth in average track finish (12.7) behind only Blaney, Hamlin, and Logano - all of whom are priced -200 or worse to finish in the top 10 for Sunday's race. That comes after Briscoe scored top-10 finishes in each of his four races here in the Next Gen car, including top-fives in both races at Martinsville last year.

The No. 14 has flirted with top-10 finishes at three short-track races this season, and he has better than a 50% chance of securing another on Sunday, as these odds suggest.

Pick to win Cook Out 400

Ryan Blaney (+900 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

While I'm also drawn to Logano (+1200) and Ty Gibbs (+1300) at better odds via FanDuel, I'm compelled by this outlier price for arguably the best driver on this track of anyone in this year's field.

Blaney is the highest-rated driver at Martinsville overall (ninth) and over the last three races (3.8), and he was the last driver to take home the checkered flag here after winning the fall race in 2023. He led 145 laps in that race, including the final 23 to secure the win and a spot in the Championship 4.

Despite all that, last year's Cup Series champion is dealing at a juicy +900 via bet365, which feels the best bet on the board among those with a real shot to win.
