For the second time this season, the two teams atop the Grey Cup odds square off when the Saskatchewan Roughriders host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats today at 3 p.m. ET (TSN, CTV, CBSSN) from Mosaic Stadium in Regina. Despite the play of Bo Levi Mitchell, my Tiger-Cats vs. Roughriders predictions expect another win for Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan has lost just one game this season, and it was to a Calgary Stampeders squad that looks like the only team in the league as well-rounded as the Roughriders. The last time these two played, Saskatchewan went into the Hammer and came out with a 28-23 win, while handing CFL Most Outstanding Player odds favorite Bo Levi Mitchell his worst performance of the season.

This should be a similar outing, especially with Saskatchewan coming off a bye and Hamilton's defense falling apart last week. My Tiger-Cats vs. Roughriders predictions have Tevor Harris leading Saskatchewan to a 31-26 win.

Saskatchewan has the best against-the-spread record in the CFL (6-2) and has shown no signs of slowing down as it comes off a Week 10 bye. In Week 9, the Riders smoked the Montreal Alouettes on the road, 34-6, with their defense flexing its muscles. Hopefully, those muscles got some rest over the bye, because Hamilton's offense is the best in the business.

Still, even with Mitchell putting up historic passing numbers, Corey Mace's defense is equipped to slow him down. Mitchell had his second-lowest QB rating of the season the last time he played the Riders (89.2), and it was one of only two games this season where he hasn't thrown more touchdown passes than interceptions.

Saskatchewan's pass defense may be prone to giving up yardage, usually because it's playing with a lead, but it's allowed the third-fewest TD passes in the CFL (14) and gives up the second-fewest points (21.8).

If the Riders can contain Mitchell enough, their offense can do the rest. Harris, A.J. Ouellette, KeeSean Johnson, Dohnte Meyers, and Samuel Emilus should toast Hamilton like a Tim Hortons bagel. The Tiger-Cats allowed 41 last week to the BC Lions and are giving up the second-most yards per game in the CFL (378.4).

While this line is high across the best sports betting apps in Canada, Hamilton loves to throw the rock. To win this game, Mitchell will need to go to the air early and often, and if the Tiger-Cats fall behind, Scott Milanovich isn't going to run the ball much.

Mitchell flew past this number earlier in the season against Saskatchewan (336) and has gone Over 320.5 in five of his last eight games, including three of his last four. The Roughriders are allowing the second-most passing yards per game in the CFL (281.6).
