The CFL's Most Outstanding Player odds race is no longer controlled by Zach Collaros as Toronto Argonauts QB Chad Kelly has become the outright favorite at our best sportsbooks in Canada.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers QB Zach Collaros was long considered the favorite for the CFL's Most Outstanding Player award in 2023 but Chad Kelly of the Toronto Argonauts now stands alone as the betting favorite at our best sportsbooks in Canada.

The big move in the odds into Monday morning was Kelly pushing ahead as the clear favorite and is the first player all season to be offered with minus odds in this market.

Blue Bombers receiver Kenny Lawler Jr. also rose up the board with Collaros' health in question. He'll be expected to help QB Dru Brown during any time missed by the back-to-back defending winner of this award.

Kelly survived an injury scare of his own coming out of the CFL's Week 9 to pass for 417 yards and four touchdowns against the Ottawa Redblacks in Week 10. There's little reason to doubt him as the rightful favorite in this market, but these odds are far too low to warrant a wager.

Wait for news on Collaros' health or a big game from the Bombers' signal-caller to help level out the odds again.

I'm much more intrigued by these +250 odds for Collaros than I am in a wager on Kelly following Week 10. The odds for the top two favorites shift drastically based on game-by-game results at this point in the season. These odds will quickly drop should Collaros' absence be limited to a game or two.
