We're so close to the playoffs, so my CFL best bets for Week 20 focus on favorites that I expect to ramp up the intensity ahead of the most important time of the season.

Am I betting every favorite this week? Of course not, but I've found two teams that I believe the market is undervaluing based on recent head-to-head meetings. I also include a player prop on Chad Kelly, who faces an Ottawa defense that's just as bad as its record would suggest.

Best CFL predictions: ATS, ML, O/U

Argonauts -10.5 (-110 via FanDuel)

The Redblacks are desperate for their first win of the season. You know that, and I know that.

The Argonauts also know that, so I don't expect them to take Ottawa lightly, especially since the Redblacks covered as a 9.5-point underdog in Toronto in Week 15.

Bryson Barnes makes his first CFL start, and while a change at QB could be seen as a positive for a winless team, if Barnes had shown any potential in practice, the Redblacks would've started him well before Week 20.

Roughriders -3.5 (-110 via BetMGM)

The Alouettes are the favorite in the Grey Cup odds and have covered three games in a row, while the Roughriders have failed to cover four in a row. However, the Roughriders are still favored by more than a field goal.

This is what people who don't understand how markets work refer to as a trap game. What it actually is, though, is a great spot for Saskatchewan. Samuel Emilus and KeeSean Johnson return for the Roughriders this week, and they will have extra motivation to win by margin after losing to the Alouettes by 20 points in Week 19.

Best CFL player prop for Week 20

Chad Kelly 350+ passing yards (+105 via bet365)

Kelly ranks third in passing yards (5,067) and passing touchdowns (33). He also has one of the most favorable matchups this week, facing the Redblacks' secondary, which is allowing 340.4 passing yards per game.

Now, we're not getting Kelly at 340.5, but there's still value in betting the third-most productive QB in the CFL to throw for an extra 10 yards at +105. He threw for 443 against Ottawa in their last meeting and has a shot at finishing as the passing yards leader this season if Davis Alexander struggles as an underdog against Saskatchewan.
