Ottawa is still riding the high of last week's wildly entertaining win over Toronto, and my Redblacks vs. Blue Bombers predictions expect another high-scoring affair tonight in the Peg.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET (TSN/RDS, CBSSN) from Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg. The hosts are -196 betting favorites at the best sports betting sites, with a total set at O/U 53 points.

My CFL best bets back the Grey Cup odds-contending Winnipeg Blue Bombers at home tonight, but not without plenty of fireworks from these two high-flying offenses.

Winnipeg has played a bizarre schedule to start the year, which has played a role in its inconsistent start. Eight games into the season, the Blue Bombers only have played four different teams, including three in back-to-back weeks: BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders and the Toronto Argonauts.

Three of their four losses have come to the Stamps.

So, playing at home against a struggling Redblacks team must feel like a breath of fresh air for Mike O'Shea's squad. With Ottawa's defensive issues and Winnipeg finally looking healthy, I'm predicting a 32-24 win for O'Shea's team.

The Blue Bombers have gone from a team known for their defense and ground game carrying them to wins to the complete opposite. Winnipeg is the best Over team in the CFL this season (5-2), due in part to its defense taking a major step back.

It's been shocking to see this change after the Bombers played in games that went Under in 14 of 18 games last season.

Winnipeg has allowed 28-plus points in five straight games and is allowing the third-most yards per game in the league (368.2). That should have Dru Brown champing at the bit after he torched the Toronto Argonauts for five touchdowns in a 46-42 road win last week. Behind the play of Brown, the Redblacks have scored 31-plus points in three of their last five.

But Ottawa's defense remains a problem, too. The Redblacks are allowing the third-most points per game in the league (28.4) and are tasked with stopping a Winnipeg offense that's scored at least 27 in five of eight games this season and finally has both Brady Oliveira and Zach Collaros healthy.

Brown is a gunslinger and is coming off the best game of his CFL career - a 373-yard passing performance in which he completed 83.9% of his throws and tossed five touchdowns. With Ottawa's reliance on his arm and Winnipeg allowing the third-most passing yards per game in the CFL (280.0), I'm surprised the best sports betting apps in Canada don't have this line slightly higher.

In the five games Brown has been healthy enough to throw double-digit passes in this season, he's averaged 322 passing yards. He's also got one of the best one-two punches at receiver in the league in Eugene Lewis and Justin Hardy.
