The BC Lions will look to continue their climb up the Grey Cup odds when they take on the Toronto Argonauts today at 3 p.m. ET (TSN, CTV, CFL+) from BMO Field in Toronto. Given BC's recent play and Toronto's injuries, my Lions vs. Argonauts prediction is backing Nathan Rourke and Co. as 3.5-point betting favorites.

📈 Lions vs. Argonauts betting odds analysis
It's a little surprising to see the Lions are favored by just 3.5 points, even as the road team. Toronto has lost five of its last six games and is dealing with a laundry list of injuries. Plus, the Lions offense has been potent in recent weeks behind Rourke, who is starting to look like a dark horse in the CFL Most Outstanding Player odds race. The Lions could be favored by as many as 5.5 points and I'd be jumping to back them.

🦁 Lions -3.5 (-105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
No team in the CFL is worse against the spread this season than the Argos (3-7). Toronto has failed to cover in three straight games as injuries continue to decimate this team. The lone bright spot had been wide receiver Damonte Coxie, who's out this week, and there's no sign of QB Chad Kelly returning anytime soon. That means more Nick Arbuckle and more interceptions.
Arbuckle is tied for the most interceptions thrown this season (10), and has no ground game to lean on at all, with Toronto sitting last in the league in rushing yards per game by a wide margin (48.2). That's going to make it nearly impossible to keep up with Rourke and the Lions, who are fourth in the league in points per game (27.3) and first in yards (428.1).
Toronto's defense doesn't stand a chance against Buck Pierce's offense. The Argos are allowing the most points per game in the CFL (32.0) and have to slow an offensive attack that includes a top-three passer in Rourke, the league's leading rusher (James Butler), and the league's leading receiver (Keon Hatcher).
If the Lions can cover for the third straight game, a $10 bet pays a $9.52 profit.

💰 Best Lions vs. Argonauts player prop bet

⬆️ Nathan Rourke Over 330.5 passing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It doesn't look like Rourke will be slowing down anytime soon. The Canadian is top three in passing yards (2,686) and QB rating (110.4) after stringing together several dominant performances since his return from injury.
In his six games back, the Ohio alum has gone Over 330.5 passing yards five times while averaging 352.2 passing yards per game. If he can throw for at least 331 once again, a $10 bet at DraftKings pays an $8.70 profit.

❓Lions vs. Argonauts FAQs
Who is the favorite to win Lions vs. Argonauts?
The Lions are 3.5-point betting favorites on the road against the Argonauts.
How do CFL spread odds work?
When betting on the CFL, the favorite needs to win by a certain number of points to cover the "point spread" - also known as the betting line. Conversely, the underdog needs to lose by fewer than the points displayed in the spread or win outright to cash. For example, a 3-point favorite would need to win by a field goal or more to reward bettors.
How do CFL moneyline odds work?
When betting on the CFL, the underdog will have the "longer" odds and is typically priced at "plus-money" odds that indicate the profit on a $100 bet. For example, a team with +150 odds would turn a $100 bet into a $150 profit - or a $10 bet into a $15 profit - according to our odds converter.
