My Alouettes vs. Roughriders prediction for the 112th Grey Cup on Sunday backs the favorite to win by more than a field goal.

Alouettes QB Davis Alexander is 13-0 as a starter in his career. However, the Roughriders enter as a 3.5-point betting favorite on a neutral field, with kickoff from Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba, set for 6 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network/TSN).

🏈 Alouettes vs. Roughriders preview & score prediction

Imagine being 13-0 as a starter, leading your team to the Grey Cup, only to have oddsmakers list you as a 1.5-point underdog when the line opens.

What's even worse? Money comes in against you, and the market moves the line to make you a 3.5-point underdog. This is the reality for Alexander this week, as the market expects Trevor Harris and the Roughriders to likely snap the Alouettes QB's win streak - and I agree. That's why I'm betting Roughriders -3.5 (-106).

All good things - and streaks - must come to an end

While Alexander has had a storybook start to his CFL career, Harris has had the stronger statistical season. The Roughriders QB threw for the third-most passing yards in the league (4,549) and is coming off a win over the BC Lions last Saturday, where he threw for 305 yards - the most of any QB in this year’s division finals.

Alexander, meanwhile, underperformed as a passer in the Alouettes' win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the East Final, throwing for just 210 yards - the fewest of any QB in the division finals - with one touchdown and one interception. It appears Alexander is coming back down to earth, and with that realization, the Alouettes' power rating must be downgraded.

FanDuel has the best odds available at time of publish. These -106 odds for the Roughriders to cover -3.5 and win by 4 or more points feature an implied probability of 51.46%, and a winning $10 bet would profit $9.43.

Score prediction: Roughriders 24, Alouettes 19

🆚 Alouettes vs. Roughriders matchup to watch

Trevor Harris vs. Montreal's secondary

The Alouettes allowed Tiger-Cats QB Bo Levi Mitchell to complete 29 of 36 passes for 269 yards, including multiple completions over 20 yards, in the East final.

While Mitchell led the CFL in passing yards this season, Harris averaged more per game leading up to the playoffs in Weeks 14 through 19 (304.6 compared to 261.7), leading me to believe Harris will likely throw for more yards against the Alouettes. CFL player props are by no means the most efficient markets in North America, but FanDuel is offering Harris' line at 278.5, and the operator is known for providing sharper lines in player prop markets.

Grab the value on Harris Over 273.5 passing yards (-115) at DraftKings. A winning $10 bet would profit $8.70, with an implied probability of 53.49%.

Best prop bet: Trevor Harris Over 273.5 passing yards (-115 via DraftKings)

Temperatures in Winnipeg for the 112th Grey Cup on Sunday evening will be around 25 degrees. There is only a 1% chance of precipitation, and wind gusts are forecast to reach just 5 mph. So while it will be cold, the weather shouldn’t impact the game, as both Montreal and Saskatchewan are accustomed to these conditions.
