Unless you've been in a dark, dank cave for the last few months with no access to the internet, you'll know of McLaren's utter dominance thus far. F1 Championship odds favorite Oscar Piastri is carrying himself with a swagger we haven't seen previously from the Aussie.
He's the focal point of our best bets, which also include Lando Norris, Max Verstappen, and George Russell, all of whom are contenders at our F1 betting sites.

Here are my best Canadian Grand Prix predictions for Sunday's race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. Picks based on odds Monday from our best sports betting apps.
π Pick to win Canadian Grand Prix: Oscar Piastri ββββ
π Best odds: +150 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 40%
There's a solid argument to back Norris on Sunday in Montreal as he finished second at the race last year and won at Albertβ―Park in Melbourne to kick off this season, the circuit that most closely resembles Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
While Norris is tugging me one way, Piastri is yanking harder and stronger in the opposite direction. The Australian is flying, and I can't see him having any more confidence or momentum than he does at this moment.
Time and again, Piastri has outclassed Norris in head-to-head battles this season, and I don't see that suddenly stopping.
Norris' only win other than the opening race Down Under came in Monaco, where the average speed is much lower. That doesn't offer enough justification to jump to the Brit. BetMGM offers the longest odds at our best sportsbooks, where a winning $10 bet will profit $15.
π Best value bet to win Canadian Grand Prix: Max Verstappen ββββ
π Best odds: +550 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 15.38%
Like a petulant teen, Verstappen had one of his outbursts at the Spanish Grand Prix, falling out of contention due to a 10-second penalty after hitting George Russell's Mercedes.
However, Verstappen has won three in a row in Montreal and is renowned for his ability to bounce back and overcome a dash of adversity. It's a track he loves, and he'll be out to get rid of the sour taste that still lingers after his unsavory Spanish GP. A winning $10 bet at DraftKings would profit $55.

π― Best long shot to win Canadian Grand Prix: George Russell βββ
π Best odds: +1800 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 5.26%
After a bitterly disappointing Monaco GP in which he finished 11th, Russell secured fourth place in Spain.
He finished on the podium in four of nine races thus far and is one of two drivers with a chance to win outside of the lead triumvirate of Piastri, Norris, and Verstappen.
The other is Charles Leclerc, but I'm giving the slight edge to Russell due to his third-place finish in Montreal last year. Leclerc hasn't finished on the podium in Montreal since 2019.
Neither Ferrari nor Mercedes have proven they have enough pace to pip McLaren, but stranger things have happened, especially with Russell consistently forcing himself onto the podium.
