Mariners vs. Mets Predictions, Odds & Expert Picks for Sunday Night Baseball

We're backing the Seattle Mariners to win Sunday Night Baseball while fading a New York Mets' slugger.

The series finale between the Seattle Mariners and New York Mets heads to Williamsport, Pa., as the two teams play in front of the Little League World Series participants as part of the eighth annual Little League Classic.

Our Mariners vs. Mets prediction supports Seattle as -120 moneyline neutral site favorites at our top sports betting sites.

New York slugger Juan Soto has been thriving against Seattle righty George Kirby in a small sample size, but Kirby’s impressive eight-week stretch has me fading Soto with my Mariners vs. Mets best bets for Sunday Night Baseball.

First pitch from BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field is set for 7 p.m. ET and airs on ESPN.

📊 Who will win today's Sunday Night Baseball matchup?

As of Sunday morning, the Mariners are favored to beat the Mets in tonight's MLB matchup at 7 p.m. ET from BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pa. I’m predicting the Mariners will beat the Mets as -120 moneyline favorites, as New York has lost 10 of its last 11 games against teams with a winning record. I would play Seattle up to -135.

🎯 Best Mariners vs. Mets player props for Sunday Night Baseball

Soto is one of the only players on either team with experience in the Little League Classic after last year’s 0-for-3 performance with the New York Yankees. Although he is 3-for-3 in his career against Seattle righty George Kirby, the righty’s improvements of late have me fading Soto as my best Mariners vs. Mets player prop for Sunday Night Baseball.

Kirby has pitched to a 2.32 ERA with a 27.1% strikeout and 475 K-to-walk rate over his last nine starts. In that span, he is the only pitcher in the majors who has induced a 30% whiff rate or better on his four-seam fastball and slider.

Soto has homered in five of his last nine games, but I am ruling out a long ball tonight as Kirby has allowed just two home runs over his previous 54 ⅓ innings.

And with walks not counting towards a hitter’s total bases (Soto has drawn a walk in six of his last seven games), that lowers his chances of going over this projected total.

Best player prop: Juan Soto Under 1.5 total bases (-160 via DraftKings)

1️⃣ NRFI bet for Sunday Night Baseball: NRFI (-120 via BetMGM)

The NRFI has cashed in each of Seattle’s last six games as favorites against National League opponents. Along with Kirby throwing so well and Clay Holmes pitching to a 2.25 ERA in the first inning this year, I am backing the NRFI as part of my Mariners vs. Mets best bets for Sunday Night Baseball.
