Los Angeles improved to 6-1 on the road this postseason after yesterday’s 3-1 victory, its first World Series road win when facing elimination since 1965. Not only do I believe the Dodgers are set up better for an all-hands-on-deck situation in Game 7, but this game should once again be low-scoring.

Dodgers are unhittable in elimination games

Those who back Los Angeles in this game should be convinced the team can win without Yoshinobu Yamamoto toeing the rubber, as the righty saved the day while leading the team to their eighth win in his last 11 starts.

Los Angeles has faced elimination three times over the last two postseasons, and it's won those contests by a combined score of 13-1.

While both teams will likely use plenty of arms tonight, the Dodgers hold the starting pitching advantage with Shohei Ohtani against Max Scherzer. Ohtani pitched to a 2.87 ERA and 1.90 FIP during the regular season, and he generated whiffs on 52.4% of his breaking pitches in Game 4, his fourth-highest in a game this season.

Scherzer gets the experience edge, as this is his 33rd postseason appearance. But he's posted a negative win probability added in three of his last five starts, including Game 3 against Los Angeles.

The Dodgers' moneyline is my best bet for this game, and I'm making my wager at Caesars, which is alone among the best sports betting sites while offering better than -148 odds (which carry a 59.68% implied probability).
