π° Best NRFI bet today
Orioles vs. Dodgers (10:10 p.m. ET)
- Trevor Rogers (5.86 ERA) vs. Yoshinobu Yamamoto (2.52 ERA)
- NRFI records: Orioles (42-35) vs. Dodgers (39-37)
While Orioles LHP Trevor Rogers isn't exactly the best dancing partner for this NRFI, he does help bring the price down to -104.
If the Orioles were sending out Kyle Bradish or Shane Baz, thereβs no way weβd be able to get such a good price on a NRFI involving Yamamoto. The Dodgers righty has been dominant lately, allowing just four earned runs across his last 35 2/3 innings of work. He hasn't allowed a first-inning run in three of his last four starts, and Rogers hasnβt either in each of his last four.
📡 SBR Edge: Finding the Fair Odds
If you de-vig this game's odds from Pinnacle, which is known as one of the sharpest books in the world, you end up with -104.2 fair odds on this NRFI (so we're getting a tiny discount at FanDuel). Pinny is taking over $1,100 a hit on this market, as of the time of publication.

Mets vs. Phillies (7:15 p.m. ET)
- Freddy Peralta (3.90 ERA) vs. Cristopher Sanchez (1.82 ERA)
- NRFI records: Mets (37-38) vs. Phillies (35-40)
Sanchez has been really comfortable at Citizens Bank Park. Not only has he posted a 0.90 ERA in 60 innings there this season, but he's allowed just one earned run over his last 30 innings in Philadelphia.
While Mets RHP Freddy Peralta is having a down season after leading the NL in wins last year, he has allowed just one earned run in two of his last three starts, so it's reasonable to assume he'll be solid through the first inning today.

π‘ How I'm betting NRFI picks today (June 20)
Follow all of our MLB analysis and expert predictions for baseball season.
My approach to today's slate was to find NRFIs (or YRFIs) that I felt were mispriced. I risked 2.08 units on the Orioles vs. Dodgers NRFI because I'm more confident in that line being mispriced than the Mets vs. Phillies NRFI, where I risked 1.88 units.
While I still directionally like the Mets vs. Phillies bet, both of those teams have sub-.500 NRFI records compared to the Orioles and Dodgers, who are both above .500.
β NRFI betting FAQ
What does NRFI mean in baseball betting?
NRFI stands for "No Run First Inning." It's a popular MLB bet that neither team will score in the first inning of a game, and the bet settles after just six outs (three per half-inning).
What does YRFI mean?
YRFI stands for "Yes Run First Inning" - the opposite of an NRFI. This MLB prop bet cashes if there's at least one run by either team in the first inning.
What should I look for when betting NRFIs?
Each team's starting pitcher is the biggest factor in cashing a NRFI bet, but you should also focus on each team's NRFI records (home vs. away) and each lineup's first-inning tendencies. Recent form can also play a bigger role than full-season numbers.
