šŸ’° Best NRFI bets today (Thursday, July 23)

Twins vs. Guardians NRFI (-125) - 1:10 p.m. ET

  • Taj Bradley (3.85 ERA) vs. Gavin Williams (4.00)
  • NRFI records: Twins (60-43) vs. Guardians (43-60)

Not only do we have high strikeout numbers between these two pitchers in this specific matchup, but we have a large sample size, too. We can file that under things we love to see when capping our best NRFI bets today. The Twins have Bradley going, who's striking this Guardians team out at a 36% clip (4% walk rate) and limiting them to a .248 xwOBA. It helps that Steven Kwan, Travis Bazzana, and Brayan Rocchio (one, four, and five hitters) combine for a 2-for-15 mark against the righty lifetime.

We're getting strong numbers from Williams as well, punching the Twins out at a 26% clip while holding them to a .233 xBA over 116 plate appearances - that'll play for us NRFI degenerates. Williams hasn't allowed a run in the first frame in six straight starts, including one against the Twins. Let's fire this up as our two-unit play - I'd price this one closer to -145.

If you're looking for more Twins vs. Guardians predictions, our own Mike Spector has you covered. On a light slate, it might not be a bad idea to load up on this matchup.

Follow all of our MLB analysis and expert predictions for baseball season.

A NRFI (No Run First Inning) bet carries high variance, meaning success requires a disciplined, daily dive into the data. Before placing a wager, run through a strict checklist: analyze how the starting pitcher matches up against the top three hitters in the lineup, track underlying metrics like strikeout rates (K%) and expected batting averages (xBA), and review recent team-specific first-inning scoring trends. Because a single mistake or lucky hit can ruin the bet instantly, always use this daily routine to guide your wagers and scale your unit sizing accordingly to protect your bankroll.
