Shane Bieber Under 4.5 strikeouts vs. Rays (-154)
Bieber had his best start of the season against the White Sox his last time out, but I'm not buying it against this tough Rays lineup. The former Cy Young winner has gone over this number just once in five starts this year, and now gets a team that strikes out the least in baseball. It helps he only strikes this Tampa lineup out at a 19% clip across 31 plate appearances, too. I'm attacking this as our lone two-unit play today, and would price this closer to -175 betting odds. Let's take this value and run with it.
Troy Melton Over 5.5 strikeouts vs. Royals (-113)
Melton has been absolutely incredible for the Tigers this season, going over this number in four straight starts, including back-to-back nine-strikeout games. For what it's worth, the Royals have only four plate appearances against him, which means they may have trouble seeing him out of the gate. Melton has pitched into the sixth inning in five straight starts as well, and if he goes deep, I see him cruising to this number.
