💣 Best home run predictions & odds today
Home run pick: Ian Happ (+440)
Peralta may be a high-strikeout pitcher, but, fortunately for us, he gives up the long ball. Peralta is pitching to an elevated 4.83 ERA and is surrendering 1.3 home runs per nine innings. He relies heavily on a high-spin four-seam fastball, but when his command wavers, he tends to leave heaters flat, which is good news for Happ, who's hit 10 of his 16 homers on fastballs this year.
Peralta has already given up 12 homers on the season, and is on pace for 28, which would be the worst mark of his career. Peralta’s extreme fly-ball profile matches up perfectly with Happ's launch angle. The switch-hitter likes what he sees in this matchup, and has four long balls lifetime off him already - I'm expecting to see one more today.

Home run pick: Bo Bichette (+500)
Don't look now, but Bichette is as hot as they come. Not only does he have two homers over his last three games, but he's registered five hits over that span, including two multi-hit games.
Owning a 1.058 OPS over his last 12 games, Bichette has absolutely found his power stroke, and against Matthew Boyd, a pitcher he owns a .456 xBA against, we'll see another longball today. I'd price this closer to +350 than the +500 betting odds we're getting here - let's take this value and run with it.

Home run pick: Kyle Schwarber (+220)
Well, well, well, look who we have here. Can you ever go wrong with betting on Schwarber to hit a bomb? My answer is a resounding no - Schwarber leading off against a right-handed starter with command issues is a premium daily target. Cade Cavalli may be in tough against the Phillies, as he's sporting the highest xSLG (.393) of his career and is pitching at one of the more hitter-friendly parks in the bigs at Nationals Park.
Cavalli relies heavily on a high-velocity four-seam fastball that's yielding an elevated hard-hit rate (46.2%) to lefties - Schwarber will get his tonight. Fire him up as part of our best home run predictions today.
