Suarez can be streaky, and wildly so at times. We've seen that just recently, when he posted a .791 OPS in May that's since shot up to .959 in June. A power surge even by his standards is propelling that rise, as Suarez has clubbed four homers across his last seven games, a stretch that's also included two contests with three hits.

What we have before us then is the glorious homer recipe of a slugger who cares only for power (Suarez's batting average is .237, and he sits fifth with 22 dingers) heading to a haven for such a hitter. The fresh thin mountain air at Coors Field creates an infamous launchpad, and Suarez will be facing Austin Gomber to begin the night.

He's making only his second start after a lengthy injury absence, and Gomber was tied for the fifth-most homers allowed last year (30). When he exits, Suarez will then tee off on the league's 26th-ranked bullpen.
