Masters Odds, Prediction & Long Shot Entering 2026 PGA Tour Season

Another PGA Tour season tees off with Scottie Scheffler (+335) as the betting favorite by the Masters odds and golf futures. The first major of the 2026 season won't be played until April 9-12 at Augusta National Golf Course in Augusta, Ga., but the two-time Masters champion already has an implied win probability of 22.99%.

Defending green jacket winner, Rory McIlroy, carries +700 Masters odds for an implied win probability of 12.50%. We don't yet know the Masters field, but it's expected to consist of between 80 and 90 of the world's best golfers, top amateurs, and past Masters champions. Tiger Woods is not expected to participate in the 2026 Masters.

💰 Prediction to win the 2026 Masters

Tommy Fleetwood (+1800)

After years of success internationally on the DP World Tour, Tommy Fleetwood finally claimed his first career PGA Tour victory last season, as he won the FedEx Cup and Tour Championship at East Lake. He went on to be an instrumental part of Team Europe's Ryder Cup victory and claimed the DP World India Championship individually. His season finished with a runner-up showing in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and a T-3 finish in the DP World Tour Championship.

Fleetwood is a strong course fit for ANGC, primarily due to his long iron approach play. He's well suited  for the long par 4s, and the crafty shot-shaping around the many dog legs. His career best finish in the Masters was a T-3 two years ago, and the hope is that his first PGA Tour win relieved the pressures that often plagued him late in tournaments.

Robert MacIntyre (+7000)

Robert MacIntyre debuted at Augusta National with a T-12 finish five years ago. He's played the Masters just twice since, and missed the cut last year, but the Scotsman begins 2026 at a career-high seventh in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).

MacIntyre comes with a well-rounded game and has shown excellence on the greens across many big tournaments. His runner-up finish in the U.S. Open was his best result in a major to date, and he followed that with a win against a strong field in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship later in the year.

Scottie Scheffler 🆚 Rory McIlroy odds

The main storyline around the 2026 Masters will assuredly be the head-to-head battle between Scheffler and McIlroy, who enter the 2026 season at No. 1 and 2, respectively, in the OWGR. McIlroy won last year's Masters and was the poster boy for Team Europe's Ryder Cup, but Scheffler won nearly everything else he could en route to a Tour-best $27.7 million in tournament earnings.

There's little to differentiate these two when they're each at the top of their game, though Scheffler certainly gets the nod for consistency. Given the discrepancy in these early golf futures odds, I'm backing the value with McIlroy (+700 via DraftKings).

That said, both of these two have historically started the season strong. The best choice is to wait it out and back the golfer whose odds rise the most by April. McIlroy's first event of 2026 will be his attempted defense of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, while Scheffler will get an earlier start in The Amex (Jan. 22-25).
