The PGA Tour heads to PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and I'm dropping my best Brooks Koepka bets for the Cognizant Classic to get you set for the week. Koepka is looking for his first strong showing of the 2026 season, and in a light field at home, now would be the perfect time to get his first win of the year.
If you’re looking to back Brooks this week, I've broken down the best value plays on the board heading into Thursday.

🏌️ Best bets for Brooks Koepka at Cognizant Classic
Here are my three best plays for Koepka at the Cognizant Classic.
Top 5 finish (+750)
Koepka, a West Palm Beach native, regularly trains at PGA National, giving him more than just familiarity - it’s a true home-field edge, which is why this play is featured in my Cognizant Classic picks. After dealing with intense media attention during his January return at Torrey Pines, a comfortable week back in Florida surrounded by local support should help him settle into the focused mindset that typically fuels his victories. With two top-25 finishes, including a solo second, a top-five finish looks well within reach and could pay off in a few days.
Matchup bet: Koepka over Rai (+110)
Koepka is essentially playing in his own backyard. His familiarity with the Bear Trap (Holes 15-17) that few in the field can match, should give him the advantage against Aaron Rai
In Brooks' recent appearances at PGA National, he finished T16 (2022) and was a runner-up in 2019, proving he knows exactly where to miss on a course that features water on 15 of 18 holes. While Rai is an accurate ball-striker, he has struggled here historically, including a missed cut in 2023 and a T66 finish in 2022.
| Metric | Brooks Koepka | Aaron Rai |
|---|---|---|
| Course history | Runner-up (2019), T16 (2022) | MC (2023), T66 (2022) |
| Recent finish | T56 (Farmers), MC (Phoenix) | T28 (Genesis), T73 (Pebble) |
| Matchup odds | +110 (Underdog) | -140 (Favorite) |
| Statistical edge | Major pedigree + home course | Accuracy |
First-round leader (+3500)
While Koepka's overall 2026 season stats have been weighed down by poor Sunday finishes, his first-round scoring average remains his strongest metric.
Further, Brooks currently ranks 22nd on Tour in strokes gained: approach (0.661) and an incredible sixth in strokes gained: around-the-green (0.666). At a course that demands strong iron play and elite scrambling to save par, Koepka's fresh legs on Thursday give him a distinct advantage over the field.
