The PGA Tour returns to Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah for the second year, with Maverick McNealy (+1400 via DraftKings) as the betting favorite by the Bank of Utah Championship odds.

Matt McCarty won this event at 23-under par last year. He's +3000 to win this week, with the tournament teeing off Thursday and running through Sunday. Below, I break down the Bank of Utah Championship odds and make my golf picks to win.

Our live Bank of Utah Championship odds will update in real time based on the odds from our best sports betting sites.

Who is the favorite to win the Bank of Utah Championship?

Maverick McNealy (+1400)

McNealy enters this week at No. 19 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). He's played just once thus far during the fall swing following a T-23 finish in the Tour Championship, and McNealy ended up finishing T-13 in the Procore Championship.

McNealy didn't play this event last year, but with limited experience available for all in the field, course history isn't overly valuable this week. Ten golfers finished 16-under or better last year as well, so the course doesn't present a significant challenge, further lessening the importance of past experience.

The +1400 odds would return a profit of $140 on a winning $10 bet at DraftKings if McNealy bests the 132-man field in Utah. I don't love those odds for someone with just one PGA Tour victory to date, and I don't like how little McNealy has played this fall. I'll be backing someone who's been playing a bit more regularly during the fall with my best pick to win the Bank of Utah Championship.

Pick to win the Bank of Utah Championship

Kurt Kitayama (+2000)

Kurt Kitayama tied for 25th in this event last year. He ranked second in the field with 2.63 strokes gained: approach per round, but Kitayama struggled desperately on the greens (1.91 strokes lost per round).

The 34th-ranked golfer in the OWGR won the 3M Open last season and hasn't missed a cut since the Canadian Open in early June. Though he's also played only once this fall, that came two weeks ago in the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, when he finished T-48.

I like Kitayama's strong iron game and length off the tee. He'll be in contention with a more average putting performance, and a winning $10 bet would return a profit of $200 at DraftKings.
