My Notre Dame vs. Miami player prop bets for today's 7:30 p.m. ET game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. (ABC), targets Carson Beck, Jeremiyah Love, and Jaden Greathouse as part of our college football picks.

Our Brenden Schaeffer breaks down his Notre Dame vs. Miami prediction with eyes on the Under and Miami QB Carson Beck, but I see a clear path to Greathouse cashing the Over on one of his player props today. Brenden's Notre Dame vs. Miami parlay picks hunt for a bigger payday.

⬇️ Carson Beck Under 239.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best Notre Dame vs. Miami Player Prop Bets: Week 1 Odds & Expert Picks for Sunday

It was a tale of three seasons for Carson Beck last year at Georgia. He had seven touchdowns and no interceptions in his first three games; eight TDs and 12 INTs in his next six contests; and 11 scoring strikes and zero miscues in his final four games (with his season - and Georgia career - ending after sustaining an injury in the SEC Championship Game against Texas).

Beck landed a fat payday to transfer to Miami (which needed a replacement for No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick Cam Ward). But with that fat payday comes fat responsibilities, and I’m not confident Beck will be up to the challenges - at least not in Week 1 against a stacked Notre Dame defense that has enough talent to match last year’s unit that ranked fourth in the nation against the pass (169.4 air yards per game).

So I’m playing Beck to come up short of his passing yardage prop of 239.5 at FanDuel. The corresponding –114 odds translate to a 53.27% implied win probability. The payout on a $10 wager: $8.77.

⬇️ Jeremiyah Love Under 79.5 rushing yards  (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

Best Notre Dame vs. Miami Player Prop Bets: Week 1 Odds & Expert Picks for Sunday

I love (no pun intended) Jeremiyah Love’s talent. What I don’t love is the Notre Dame tailback’s inconsistency, which was on full display during his team’s run to last year's national championship game.

Consider: Love cleared 90 yards in seven of 16 contests last year (topping the century mark five times). But he also was held to 60 rushing yards or fewer eight times - including in all three of Notre Dame’s College Football Playoff games (19 yards vs. Georgia; 11 yards vs. Penn State; 3 yards - yes, 3 - versus Ohio State). And while Love averaged more than 7 yards per carry in eight games, he also averaged less than 3.3 yards per tote five times.

Yes, Love comes into Sunday’s game at Miami with fresh legs (and the starting job). But backup Jadarian Price (764 yards in 2024) is still around, and Miami’s defense last year ranked 22nd nationally in defending the run. So  I’m betting Love to fall short of 79.5 rushing yards at BetMGM at -110 odds. This play has an implied win probability of 52.38% and pays $9.09 on a $10 bet.

⬆️ Jaden Greathouse Over 32.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

Without question, wide receiver Jaden Greathouse had an uneven sophomore season at Notre Dame. He had more than three receptions in just five of the Fighting Irish’s 16 games, and he racked up more than 43 yards only four times. In fact, during a five-game stretch that spanned the end of the regular season and Notre Dame’s first College Football Playoff contest against Georgia, Greathouse produced just six total receptions for 49 yards.

Ah, but the Texas native closed the playoffs in style, torching Penn State in the semifinals (seven catches, 105 yards, one TD) and Ohio State in the title game (six catches, 128 yards, two TDs). So even though the Irish have a new quarterback running the offense, I’m banking on Greathouse enjoying a carryover effect from last year hurdling what is an extremely low receiving yardage prop of 32.5.

The -114 odds attached to this player prop  at FanDuel equate to a 53.2% implied win probability, with a winning $10 wager netting $8.77.

How do college football player props work?

Player props are wagers on individual performances rather than the outcome of the game. Common props include passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdown scorers. For example, if a QB’s passing yards line is set at 250.5, you can bet the Over (251-plus yards) or Under (250 or fewer yards). You can also bet on if a specific player will score a touchdown in the entire game, the first or last touchdown, and more.
