College football Week 10 top picks

D.J. Giddens Over 1.5 receptions (-102 via Barstool) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

D.J. Giddens, a sophomore from Junction City, Kansas, has emerged as the top option in two-man running back committee for Kansas State. He has recorded 400 more scrimmage yards than Treshaun Ward due to multi-threat ability as a runner and receiver for the Wildcats.

Giddens has recorded multiple catches in five of the last six games, recording 21 receptions for 240 yards and one touchdown through the air. That’s why we are seeing Giddens’ receiving yardage prop set at 10.5 across our best sports betting apps, with the Over juiced as much as -137.

Instead of betting on production against this formidable Texas front, we are counting on volume by playing this prop at Barstool. It’s easy to project multiple catches for Giddens in a potentially negative game script against the Longhorns, which is why we are taking the -102 value on this Over. This prop is playable at -110 or better.

Cody Schrader Over 62.5 rushing yards (-115 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cody Schrader, a former walk-on, has vaulted himself to near the top of the SEC leaderboard in a number of rushing categories this season, settling into a true workhorse role in the Mizzou backfield.

Dealing with various injuries, Schrader wore a green non-contact jersey in practice for weeks, but continued to dominate on Saturdays. He was the only running back to carry the ball in Mizzou’s win over South Carolina on Oct. 21 as he ran a season-high 26 times for 159 yards, which marked his fourth triple-digit rushing output of the year.

After the bye, Schrader has returned to full contact in practice and figures to be a necessary component if Missouri hopes to force the upset over Georgia in Athens. Although Georgia’s run defense is one of the best in the nation, Missouri OC Kirby Moore knows his offense must maintain balance to avoid getting blown out between the hedges.

Schrader has cleared this prop in six of eight games on the season. Most sportsbooks list the total at 62.5 yards, with DraftKings offering the best odds on Over at -115. Over bettors should avoid FanDuel’s prop at an inflated 67.5 yards.

Carson Beck Under 292.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Georgia Bulldogs have played the 100th-hardest schedule, which has many skeptical of quarterback Carson Beck’s performance to this point. Beck is on pace for 3,693 passing yards, which is 19 fewer yards than last year’s Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams threw for, as SEC Football Analyst Blayne Gilmer pointed out.

However, Beck begins a stretch where he faces three consecutive top-17 teams, and this week’s game against Missouri should be the start of his statistical regression.

The Tigers allowed an average of 264.5 passing yards to the two best quarterbacks they have seen this year, Kansas State’s Will Howard and LSU’s Jayden Daniels. And Missouri just held South Carolina gunslinger Spencer Rattler to his worst QBR (19.7) of the season, with his 217 passing yards being his third-worst total.

This is a four-star play, as the Tigers had a week off to prepare for the nation’s top-ranked team, and a defense that ranks in the top 40 in passing success Rate should limit Beck’s yardage total in his second game without the best tight end in the country, Brock Bowers. We are getting a great number at FanDuel as Under backers, with the best number elsewhere is the O/U 283.5 passing yards found at DraftKings and bet365, with a price of -115 on either side.

Devin Neal Over 89.5 rushing yards (-115 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Neal has rushed for 89 or more yards in six of his eight games this season. Each of his 89-plus yard performances came in wins, while his other two performances came in the Jayhawks’ two losses. Last week, in the Jayhawks’ 38-33 upset victory over the Oklahoma Sooners, Neal ran the ball 25 times for 112 yards.

The Cyclones have only allowed two 100-yard rushers this season. However, those two defensive lapses came against two of the three best rushing teams that the Cyclones have faced so far this season. Essentially, if running is a big part of your game plan, then the Cyclones have a tough time stopping you.

The Jayhawks are currently 11th in college football in rush yards per game. Neal is averaging 96 yards per game and 6.7 yards per carry. This is a letdown spot for the Jayhawks, so we could see them trailing for a large portion of this game. But even if they are, when they attempt to get the offense right, they will go to Neal who has been their most consistent offensive player this season.
