My college football player props for Week 2 expect Arch Manning's arm to be leaned on heavily and Bryce Underwood to struggle on the road.

Even with a meager slate today on paper, my college football player prop bets for Week 2 focus on the biggest name in the sport - along with my best bets on two true freshman QBs and a pair of electric wide receivers.

Arch Manning's second start of the season won't have nearly as much fanfare, though his matchup is among my favorite college football picks for Saturday with Texas taking on San Jose State.

However, the biggest game of our college football predictions for Week 2 pits blue-chip recruit Bryce Underwood against an underrated Oklahoma defense in a hostile environment that he may not be ready for yet.

⬆️ Arch Manning Over 27.5 pass attempts (-115) ⭐⭐⭐

Manning couldn't have disappointed more in his debut as Texas' full-time starting QB, but he's poised for a bounce-back performance in Week 2 to reignite his Heisman Trophy odds. The Longhorns are playing a San Jose State team that just lost at home to Central Michigan, and Manning has a history of torching lowly Group of Five defenses.

The Spartans are ranked No. 99 in SP+ on defense, and are particularly brutal against the pass, sitting No. 106 in EPA per pass on defense. Meanwhile, Steve Sarkisian may want to get his young QB back on track by letting him air it out against a team that doesn't have the talent to stop a pass-catching corps led by Ryan Wingo and Jack Endries.

Even with Manning playing sporadically against a top-tier Ohio State defense last week, Sark had Manning throw Over 27.5 passes, a number he's now topped in all three of his starts at Texas. If Manning can throw 28-plus passes for the fourth straight start - there's a 53.49% probability he will - a $10 bet pays an $8.70 profit.

⬆️ Harrison Wallace III Over 43.5 receiving yards (-106) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lane Kiffin is the Portal King for a reason, and he reloaded with it again for this season by adding multiple transfers to replace NFL draft picks Tre' Harris and Jordan Watkins. One such transfer is Harrison Wallace III (Penn State), who exploded in his debut with the Rebels against Georgia State in Week 1.

Wallace, who led the Nittany Lions' wide receivers with 720 yards last season, put up 130 in his Ole Miss debut, which included a 47-yard reception that would put him Over this total against Kentucky alone. Obviously, the SEC is a step up from the Sun Belt, but the Wildcats didn't look impressive against Toledo and sit No. 88 in EPA per pass on defense.

Kiffin didn't shy away from having his offense air it out in a blowout, even with first-time starting QB Austin Simmons, who had the seventh-most big-time throws in the country last week (3). If the Simmons-Wallace connection continues to thrive - Wallace had nine targets and averaged 5.65 yards per route run last week - a $10 bet pays a $9.43 profit.

⬆️ Jordyn Tyson Over 91.5 receiving yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The main takeaway from Arizona State's 19-point win over Northern Arizona last week wasn't whether or not the Sun Devils could be College Football Playoff odds threats again; it was that Jordyn Tyson has a firm hold on being the best draft-eligible wide receiver in the country.

Even though it was against an FCS program, Tyson's first game following last year's collarbone injury went as well as it could have - he finished with 12 receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns on 17 targets. Clearly, Kenny Dillingham plans to make Tyson the focal point of the offense this season with Cam Skattebo in the NFL.

Tyson, who was one of only two Power Four wide receivers to average more than three yards per reception and make double-digit contested catches last season, should have a field day against a Mississippi State defense that's No. 85 in EPA per pass. If he can go Over 91.5 receiving yards for the sixth straight game, a $10 bet pays an $8.70 profit.

⬇️ Bryce Underwood Under 191.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Credit to New Mexico for basically having an entirely new roster under new head coach Jason Eck and still being able to make Michigan fans sweat in the Big House. And while the Lobos are trending in the right direction, they weren't a real test for Underwood, who threw for 251 yards in his first collegiate start, and a Michigan squad that's among the college football national championship odds contenders.

The No. 1 recruit in the 2025 class is poised for a complete different experience in Week 2 as the Wolverines head to Norman, Okla., to take on a Sooners defense that's ranked No. 7 in SP+. For Underwood to top 191.5 passing yards, he'll really need to earn that money Larry Ellison is paying him - Brent Venables' program is No. 1 in the country in EPA per pass on defense.

While Underwood looks like a future star, he didn't account for any big-time throws in his debut and had a less-than-impressive ADOT (7.0). I'm banking on R Mason Thomas and this front seven to put plenty of pressure on the freshman to help turn a $10 bet into an $8.77 profit.

Matt Jacob is also fading Underwood as part of his Michigan vs. Oklahoma prediction.

🔥 Bear Bachmeier anytime TD scorer (+130) ⭐⭐⭐

There are a handful of true freshmen starting at QB for Power Four programs this season, but none accounted for more touchdowns in Week 1 than Bear Bachmeier. Hank Bachmeier's younger brother threw for three scores and ran for two more in his BYU debut, leading the Cougars to a 69-0 win.

Though a repeat performance in Week 2 should be a little tougher for Bachmeier, Stanford doesn't have the talent to slow down the former three-star recruit. Nobody knows that better than Bachmeier after he transferred from the Cardinal program to the Cougars in the spring. Frank Reich's team is among the worst in the Power Four, sitting No. 103 in SP+ on defense.

At times last week, Bachmeier looked more like a fullback than a QB (wearing No. 47 helped play into that) with his physicality as a runner. The 220-pounder averaged 5.4 yards per carry after contact, and that rugged running should help him find the end zone. If he scores on Saturday night, and there's a 43.48% probability he will, a $10 bet pays a $13 profit.

What are the best college football player props for Week 2?

My best college football player props for Week 2 are Arch Manning Over 27.5 pass attempts (-115), Harrison Wallace III Over 43.5 receiving yards (-106), Jordyn Tyson Over 91.5 receiving yards (-115), Bryce Underwood Under 191.5 passing yards (-114), and Bear Bachmeier anytime TD scorer (+130).

How do college football player props work?

Player props are wagers on individual performances rather than the outcome of the game. Common props include passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdown scorers. For example, if a QB’s passing yards line is set at 250.5, you can bet the Over (251-plus yards) or Under (250 or fewer yards). You can also bet on if a specific player will score a touchdown in the entire game, the first or last touchdown, and more college football odds.

You can determine the payouts and implied probabilities for any wager - or convert odds to different formats - with our odds converter.
