My Miami vs. Texas A&M predictions are siding with the underdog to take what's likely to be a tight matchup, and the clash will probably be the best game in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
Texas A&M is a 3.5-point betting favorite for Saturday's noon ET kickoff on ABC/ESPN from Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, and it's the second CFP game among the college football bowl games this week.

Miami ML (+140) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Hurricanes are among the most fit teams to make a national championship run due to their trench play. Miami is one of a handful of programs to ranked in the top 10 in the Power Four in sacks (34) and sacks allowed (11).
That ability to protect Carson Beck will be massive against a Texas A&M defense that relies heavily on pressure to make up for inconsistent play in the secondary.
And with Rueben Bain Jr. leading an elite pass rush, Miami will be able to pressure Marcel Reed more than any other team Texas A&M has faced this season. The moneyline play is also the cornerstone of Brenden Schaeffer's Miami vs. Texas A&M same-game parlay.
Score prediction: Miami 29, Texas A&M 27

Malachi Toney, WR, Miami: Anytime TD (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Malachi Toney looks like the next great Hurricanes receiver after earning ACC Rookie of the Year as a freshman. The 18-year-old has been one of the five best receivers in the country this season, and has taken his play up to another level during Miami's playoff push.
In his last two games, Toney has caught 25 passes for 272 yards and two scores on 31 targets. It's clear that Beck and offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson want to get their freshman phenom the ball as much as possible.
That will continue against a Texas A&M secondary that's been susceptible to big plays. Toney ranks No. 3 in the country in YAC (623) and could break any reception to the house in the CFP.
He's scored eight touchdowns in his last eight games, so I love getting this TD bet at even money.
