Iowa vs. Ohio State touchdown pick

Jeremiah Smith anytime TD scorer (+105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The No. 1 recruit in the country, Jeremiah Smith has somehow already lived up to the hype as the next great Ohio State wide receiver. The 18-year-old leads Ohio State in touchdowns with six in four games.

While Iowa will be the best defense Smith has gone up against in his young career, the Hawkeyes haven't had to deal with a talent like him before. Smith is top 20 in the country in yards per route run (3.75) and NFL QB rating when targeted (141.0), per PFF.

Iowa's defense ranks just 31st in EPA per dropback and has allowed six passing touchdowns in its last three games - three of those TDs were allowed by starting cornerback TJ Hall.

While points may be hard to come by in this one, Smith has scored in every game this season. And this is an incredible value with our other college football betting sites as short as -138 - this price pays a $10.50 profit on a $10 winning bet.

Best Iowa vs. Ohio State prop bets

Will Howard Under 247.5 passing yards (-114)

For as impressive as Ohio State's offense has been, Will Howard has still left a lot to be desired. He ranks just 72nd in big-time throws (4) and 124th in ADOT (7.4).

Howard's conservative approach will make it hard for him to go Over 247.5 passing yards - he's gone Under that number in eight of 12 games dating back to last season at Kansas State. Plus, Iowa's defense is No. 1 in SP+ and allows just 210.8 passing yards per game.

There's a reason I included this bet in our Week 6 college football expert picks. And if the Hawkeyes keep Howard Under 247.5 passing yards, a $10 bet pays an $8.77 profit.

Kaleb Johnson Over 80.5 rushing yards (-114)

Iowa's offense doesn't just run through Kaleb Johnson; he's basically the entire offense on his own. Of Iowa's 1,591 total yards this season, Johnson has accounted for 711 of them (44.7%).

The Hawkeyes' bell-cow back is second in the country in rushing yards (685), third in rushing yards after contact (457), seventh in missed tackles forced (30), and first in 15-plus-yard runs (16).

So while Ohio State's defense is top-notch, Johnson's going to get fed, and 81 yards is less than half of what he's averaging per game this season (171.2). If he goes Over 80.5 rushing for the fifth straight game, a $10 bet pays an $8.77 profit.
