Fernando Mendoza Over 17.5 completions (-108) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Opposing quarterbacks are completing just 51.7% of passes against Oregon, which is the fourth-lowest rate in the country. But Mendoza went 20-of-31 in his first game against the Ducks, recording a 64.5% completion percentage.

Mendoza is completing 72.3% of his passes this season, and he’s topped 17.5 completions in eight of 14 games. While he hasn’t completed more than 15 passes in any of his last three games, he only threw two incompletions in the blowout win over Alabama. Plus, he’s already proven himself against Oregon this year.

Mendoza has thrown at least one pass of 40 yards or more in 11 of his 14 games this season, but against Oregon, his longest pass was only 29 yards. The Ducks are allowing only 5.4 yards per attempt, third-best in the nation, and 10.4 yards per completion.

Oregon did such a good job against Mendoza that he only completed three passes for more than 20 yards, and they held him to just 6.9 yards per attempt. I expect Oregon to focus on preventing big plays again, as Mendoza takes the small gains the Ducks allow.

Mendoza ran for 31 yards in his first game against Oregon, but I’m concerned about him in the rematch, as he’s been sacked at least three times in four of his last five games. Oregon only sacked him once in the first meeting, and he still barely topped this number.

Mendoza has rushed for at least 24 yards in six games this season, but he’s only topped this mark once in his last five contests. Additionally, he’s averaging just four rushes per game if you don’t count sacks, and Oregon is allowing just 3.3 yards per carry.
