Duke vs. North Carolina Player Props: Best Bets & TD Picks for Week 13

Two longtime Tobacco Road rivals face off today from Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C, and my Duke vs. North Carolina player props expect the road favorites to set the tone in the fight for the Victory Bell at 3:30 p.m. ET (ACC Network).
I'm backing Duke QB Darian Mensah and one of his top targets to shine with my best bets for this ACC rivalry showdown while taking a shot on an overlooked UNC rusher as a long shot to score a touchdown as part of our college football Week 13 predictions.

💵 Best Duke vs. North Carolina player prop bets
💰 Best Duke vs. North Carolina player props
⬆️ Darian Mensah player prop: Over 272.5 passing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
As I break down in further detail in my Duke vs. North Carolina prediction, Mensah is primed to bounce back from his worst two-week stretch of the season after averaging nearly 325 yards per game through his first eight starts.
The former Tulane star still leads the ACC with a tick over 300 passing yards per game and 25 touchdowns, and he's thrown for at least 265 yards in eight of his 10 starts for Duke. He'll also be facing an inconsistent Tar Heels secondary that grades out well on paper but hasn't been challenged to the degree that it will be against Mensah.
If Mensah returns to form and clears this prop total against his rivals, we'd turn a $10 wager at Caesars into an $8.70 profit at these -115 odds (53.49% probability).
⬆️ Que'Sean Brown player prop: Over 4.5 receptions (+142) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Blue Devils' passing attack spreads the ball by design, but Que'Sean Brown has still clearly established himself as Duke's WR2 with 45 catches - hauling in at least five in six of his 10 games this season and four of his last six contests entering this week.
So why is FanDuel offering the Over at this number at such generous +142 odds? Maybe the market is overreacting to Brown's three receptions last week (tied for his fewest since Week 2), but that followed a two-week stretch in which he combined for 11 catches for 141 yards and two touchdowns against two of the best defenses he's faced this year.
I'm buying the dip on Brown to finish with at least five receptions for the third time in four games. If he does, a $10 bet at FanDuel would return a $14.20 profit at these +142 odds (41.32% probability).
6️⃣ Best Duke vs. North Carolina touchdown scorer bet
🔥 Davion Gause to score anytime TD (+340) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
After showing flashes as a freshman last year, Davion Gause burst onto the scene again this year with an impressive four-week stretch - scoring touchdowns against California and Virginia before earning 29 touches for a combined 137 yards and a score in wins over Syracuse and Stanford. That's what made his usage last week so peculiar with zero carries against Wake Forest.
He did finish with three catches for 21 yards, though, in a game that saw UNC fall behind within the first two minutes and never catch up. That came one week after Gause turned three catches into 51 yards and a score. Even if the Tar Heels fall behind again today, Gause should be involved as a receiver with potential between the tackles, too.
What makes this bet even sweeter is the insane value FanDuel is offering for Gause to score his fifth touchdown of the year. This is only a four-star bet in terms of confidence because of UNC's unpredictable backfield usage, but these +340 odds (22.73% probability) - which would turn a $10 bet into a $34 profit if he scores for the fourth time in six games - are so off market that I can't recommend it enough as a high-upside flier.
