🏈 Miami vs. Ole Miss predictions & odds (Jan. 8 @ 7:30 p.m. ET)

After the Hurricanes and Rebels pulled off two of the biggest upsets of the season and the history of the CFP, they'll face off at State Farm Stadium on Thursday with the winner punching the first ticket to the national championship. It's been 24 years since Miami won its fifth championship in the 2001-02 season, and the 'Canes feature an elite defense with enough offensive firepower to break through for the first time in a quarter-century. But Ole Miss won't go down easy in its quest for the school's first title in over 65 years, even with the swirling drama around its assistant coaches (and former head coach) leaving for LSU.

Live Miami vs. Ole Miss odds

Early Miami vs. Ole Miss prediction

🦈 Ole Miss +3.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

The loss of Lane Kiffin hasn't impacted the Rebels yet, and I don't think it will in the semifinal. Ole Miss has the No. 2-ranked offense and No. 1-ranked special teams by SP+, and Pete Golding's program is poised to keep this game close. The Rebels have arguably the second-best QBs in the country in Trinidad Chambliss, and Miami's Carson Beck has been mediocre in the CFP. Ole Miss has covered the spread in three straight, and its only loss this season came at the hands of Georgia, who the Rebs just beat in the CFP.

🏈 Oregon vs. Indiana predictions & odds (Jan. 9 @ 7:30 p.m. ET)

The Big Ten takes center stage in the second College Football Playoff semifinal matchup with Oregon and Indiana facing off for the second time this season. The Hoosiers got the best of the Ducks when they met in Autzen Stadium back on Oct. 11 en route to their first undefeated season in school history - that also marks the only loss all season for Dan Lanning and Co. ahead of their second appearance in the CFP semifinals. This is also a rematch between Fernando Mendoza and Dante Moore, the likely top two picks by the latest NFL draft odds, while these defenses are among the most loaded in the sport.

Live Oregon vs. Indiana odds

Early Oregon vs. Indiana prediction

🔴 Indiana -4 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The first time these two teams played, the Hooisers went into Autzen Stadium and beat the Ducks by 10. That's one of four wins Indiana has against ranked opponents this season, and in those four ranked wins, Indiana has covered the spread each time. The Hoosiers seem to always rise to the occasion under Curt Cignetti, and it certainly helps to have a Heisman-winning QB (Fernando Mendoza) and the No. 2-ranked defense by SP+. Oregon has more flaws than Indiana, with inconsistent O-line play and depth questions in the secondary and at receiver.
