This rivalry has not typically been known for offensive fireworks, but each team’s evolving offense has me excited to cash in on my Army vs. Navy anytime touchdown scorer predictions.

Navy is as high as a 6.5-point betting favorite in a game with an O/U of 38.5 points. This heated rivalry, which will decide the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy, kicks off from M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md., at 3 p.m. ET (CBS), and my college football predictions project both QBs to shine.

Cale Hellums, QB, Army (-125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The value alone on these anytime touchdown odds for quarterback Cale Hellums is worth my most confident five-star and best Army vs. Navy TD pick.

Hellums is the signal caller for an Army offense that leads the nation in both standard downs run rate (90.2%) and passing downs run rate (72.3%).

He is the team’s leading rusher from the quarterback position with 1,078 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on 264 carries, 173 more than the next-closest Black Knights rusher. He faces a Midshipmen defense that ranks outside the top 110 in yards per play and EPA per play allowed.

Hellums’ anytime touchdown odds are as high as -195 at the opposite end of the market, carrying a 66.10% implied probability. A $10 winning wager on Hellums to score a touchdown for the seventh time in eight games would net $8 in profits through bet365’s generous -125 odds, as opposed to the $5.13 net gain through the -195 price.

Our Rob Paul breaks down the Army vs. Navy game total trends, and why this year's game should see plenty of points scored.

Eli Heidenreich, WR, Navy (+160) ⭐⭐⭐

There was a time when a Navy wide receiver like Eli Heidenreich having as short as -115 anytime touchdown odds like he has at bet365 would seem blasphemous in its predominantly triple-option offense. But these odds are a reflection of how explosive Navy’s passing game has been, and I expect the Midshipmen to hit on a deep shot in this matchup.

Navy’s top-15 offensive success rate is not just a product of rushing explosives. Its passing offense is also responsible for several big plays, as evidenced by its 27.8% explosive completion rate.

Heidenreich has four of the team’s nine receiving touchdowns. The fact that he is responsible for 53.7% of the team’s receiving yards should once again make him the top target in the passing game.

If Heidenreich breaks a six-game drought without a touchdown, my $10 winning wager through FanDuel’s +160 odds would net $16 in profit.

Unsurprisingly, Heidenreich also features in Rob Paul's Army vs. Navy prediction.

Blake Horvath, QB, Navy (+340) ⭐⭐

It probably is not wise to go too far down the anytime touchdown odds leaderboard for value, given how often each team’s quarterback has the ball in his hands.

Blake Horvath has the shortest anytime touchdown odds of any player (-225 at the high end of the market), while he has 43.48% implied odds to score in the first half based on DraftKings’ +130 odds.

Horvath’s 14 rushing touchdowns lead the team by five, and he has averaged 6.0 yards per carry with a 52.4% success rate. Horvath is also not solely dependent on short-yardage touchdowns, as nearly one out of every five of his rushing attempts have gained at least 10 yards. Our Philip Wood thinks he's going to pile up the rushing yards in his Army vs. Navy player props.

Compared to Horvath’s +275 odds to score the game’s first touchdown on the low end of the market, DraftKings’ +340 odds would return $6.50 more in profits on a winning $10 wager ($34 versus $27.50).
