My Alabama vs. Oklahoma same-game parlay for the college football playoff first round envisions Ryan Williams breaking out of his slumber to be the difference-maker for the Crimson Tide this time around.

Alabama +1.5 (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Alabama outplayed and outgained Oklahoma by a wide margin the first time around, but a minus-3 on the turnover differential flipped the outcome. Strong defense is all the Sooners have to lean on now, but Ty Simpson threw for 326 yards on Oklahoma’s pass defense, which ranks 44th in FBS, allowing 206.5 yards per game.

FPI ranks Oklahoma's offense 54th in the nation in adjusted efficiency, the lowest of any team in the 12-team CFP field, including JMU and Tulane. With only a minor odds difference of -104 vs. -114 on the moneyline vs. spread, I’ll take the cushion roll with Alabama +1.5.

Ryan Williams Over 40.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ryan Williams has largely been missing in action during the latter portion of this season. He didn’t even register a target in the Iron Bowl. But I’m betting the extra time off after the SEC Championship Game helps Williams get back closer to his physical best.

Because of his recent lack of productivity, we’re getting a soft line on one of the most talented receivers in college football. Williams cleared this line against OU previously while registering 45 yards. He was Bama’s fourth-leading receiver on that day, suggesting plenty of upside for a ceiling game against this defense.

Jam Miller Under 38.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My thinking that Bama’s success will be rooted in the pass and not the run allows this Jam Miller prop to serve as a negative correlation to juice up our SGP odds. Miller has looked strong over his past two outings, but he's been inconsistent all year. He logged just 27 yards and a 3.0 yards per carry against Oklahoma the first time around.

With Daniel Hill mixing into the backfield rotation, I don’t see Miller getting the workload to clear this rushing line against an Oklahoma defense that ranks third nationally against the run (78.2 yards per game).
