This game already happened once, and my Alabama vs. Oklahoma predictions expect a similar outcome in tonight's College Football Playoff first-round rematch.
Tonight's matchup at 8 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN) from Memorial Stadium in Norman, Okla., is essentially a pick'em with some sportsbooks offering Oklahoma as a 1.5-point betting favorite and others having Alabama -1.5. This is the first CFP game among the college football bowl games this week.

Oklahoma ML (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The last time these two played, Oklahoma mucked things up with its defense to win 23-21 ... and that was without its best defender. This time around, a Sooners defense that ranks top 10 in PPG (13.9), yards (273.6), and SP+ (No. 3) will have its best player back.
🅾️ In Brent Venables' defense we trust
Oklahoma's defense is a terrifying sight for any QB, let alone when Brent Venables has more than a week to game plan for an offense that can't run the ball. With OU's style of play, the Sooners are 10-2 betting the Under this season. That's why I'm parlaying the Oklahoma ML with the Under for +224 odds at FanDuel.
With pass rusher R Mason Thomas set to suit up for Brent Venables' defense, Oklahoma will give Ty Simpson hell. Alabama has been discombobulated on offense down the stretch due to its non-existent run game.
Alabama is averaging just 18.7 points against its last four SEC opponents.
Score prediction: Oklahoma 17, Alabama 16

Isaiah Sategna III, WR, Oklahoma: Anytime TD (+135) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Oklahoma's offense has been uninspiring this season, but every time the Sooners need a play, Isaiah Sategna III seems to step up. The Arkansas transfer has been the unsung hero of Oklahoma's run to the College Football Playoff, leading the team in yards from scrimmage by a large margin (972).
Sategna's ability to win vertically and after the catch will be needed against an Alabama defense that's one of the best in the country. But with Crimson Tide down their top defensive lineman (LT Overton), QB John Mateer should have more time in the pocket to find his go-to receiver.
Sategna has been at his best against in the second half of the season, averaging 91.3 yards from scrimmage and scoring four TDs in his last six games. In what I expect to be a low-scoring game, he's by far my favorite bet to find the end zone.
