OLG becomes NFL's First Official Sportsbook Partner in Canada

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation became the official sportsbook partner of the NFL they announced on Monday. With the exclusive five-year deal, OLG and PROLINE become an official retail lottery and sportsbook partner of the NFL in Ontario and the NFL’s first official partner in Canada.

The timing couldn’t be better with Super Bowl LVI just six days away, either.

"We are so excited to announce this partnership given that PROLINE is the only platform for sports bettors in Ontario to place legal, single event wagers and other exciting bets on the Super Bowl at both retail outlets and online at PROLINE+," says Dave Pridmore, OLG's Chief Digital and Strategy Officer. "This exciting collaboration with a world-class organization like the NFL creates new sports entertainment experiences that give sports fans all across the province an incredible opportunity to get closer to the sport they love through exclusive, one-of-a-kind gameplay."

NFL Director of Corporate Partnerships Gavin Kemp added.

"As the sports betting landscape continues to evolve, we are excited to partner with OLG in Ontario with the opening of the sports betting market in Canada. OLG will bring NFL fans in the province a whole new experience in sports gaming entertainment. We look forward to working together to create new responsible and innovative ways for football fans to share in the action of the NFL."

The OLG/PROLINE and NFL partnership includes an abundant variety of engaging digital content, unique retail and online events and promotions, and exclusive player opportunities expected in the future.

Looking particularly ahead to Super Bowl LVI, sports bettors will now have access to fun and exciting new markets, including expanded prop and novelty bets.

It’s also worth noting OLG and PROLINE are launching a weekly online video series called “Game Plan” with the first episode scheduled to air Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Four-time Super Bowl Champion Joe Montana will be the featured guest for the inaugural episode and share his insight on Super Bowl LVI between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals.

This is a significant win for OLG and PROLINE, as the Ontario sports betting market projects to become more competitive with Ontario set to allow private-sector operators registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to offer sports betting beginning April 4, 2022.
