The Kansas City Chiefs enter the new NFL season with the fourth-highest probability of winning Super Bowl LX on a +850 betting line on FanDuel. They'll be looking to bounce back from a season-ending defeat for the team against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX that prevented a historic third title in a row.

Although sidetracked this season, the Chiefs remain one of the NFL's ultimate championship contenders, thanks to quarterback Patrick Mahomes' yearly brilliance and coach Andy Reid's consistency. Kansas City has played in a league-leading five of the past six Super Bowls and is consequently among the league's most dominant franchises in recent history.

The Chiefs' current hot streak has been compared to the New England Patriots' dynasty led by Tom Brady that produced six titles in the 2000s and 2010s. Throughout the offseason, the roster was solidified ahead of another long postseason run in hopes of being back on the championship stage in February of 2026.

The Super Bowl odds show the Baltimore Ravens are the overall favorite at +700, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills at +750. Kansas City is only behind these three and exhibits strength and increasing competition in both the AFC and NFC.

One of the early big moments of the season will be the Week 2 meeting between the Chiefs and Eagles, a Super Bowl rematch that will be an early tell if Kansas City is on a title contender trajectory.

Missouri sports betting set for December launch

The Chiefs' position among Super Bowl favorites coincides with major developments for fans in the Missouri sports betting market, where legal betting is set to launch on Dec. 1. The state is finalizing its regulatory framework as sportsbooks prepare to enter the market. With less than five months until launch, operators are securing licenses and forming partnerships to be ready for the opening date.

The Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) has already approved untethered mobile licenses for DraftKings and Circa Sports. FanDuel, which applied for one of the two untethered licenses, partnered with the MLS side St. Louis City SC.

After being the fifth operator to apply for a license in Missouri formally, Fanatics Sportsbook was also granted a Missouri license after partnering with Boyd Gaming. Fanatics already operates in 23 states, including several that border Missouri, positioning it as a strong candidate to expand its regional presence once betting goes live.

Additional applications for retail and mobile wagering are due by Sept. 12 for operators seeking to go live on the December launch date.
