Timing makes me want Tomic even more tomorrow. He obviously knew Rhyne Williams would be a breeze, but knows every match from now on is losable.

Say what you want about Roddick , guy holds great pressers after matches and will be missed. Tough life now. Banging Brooklyn Decker day and night. Andy Roddick is a winner.

and that gets you what in mens. zero majors a year and maybe a top 250 tourney a year. dont get me wrong, its still a great living but he doesnt seem to have had the passion/dedication for quite some time.

And you think that's acceptable to Roddick?

Roddick said over a year ago that he would retire when he couldn't be a top 10 player anymore. He hasn't been a top 10 caliber player in quite a while.

I am actually likely going to avoid betting this match tomorrow as I think about it. I would rather enjoy watching it than rooting for punk dick Tomic. Being a night match also might crack that little doosh.

I'm guessing by Herds comment it isn't but as Blue said it's still the best living you will ever have. I'm pretty shocked. I don't see why Roddick can't get back in the top 10 or 15 to be honest.

He pretty much said it. His body isn't holding up the way he is accustomed to it. If he kept playing, it would require probably double the time he commits now and there would be no guarantee that nagging injuries woulsn't catch him again. Not everyone is like Federer where they can go through the majority of a career void of a lot of injuries. Andy had back, knee and shouldedr issues I think all in the last year. I can't blame him. I wouldn't want to spend half my time getting treatment and then have to prep for matches still.
