4 out 14 so far..not as good as I had hoped for, but the 2nd round might prove to be even more fruitful

Sela was a total tank job, god knows why he wants to go all the way in challengers and then tank the atp circuit.

Hard to guess motivation some this week as some of these guys may just want to move on and start hard court preps. Still you wonder why they bother going to these at all - but it's still money.

Doubt he tanked, he's just..... strange.
Results like this are why he's struggling with his ranking, despite his obvious talent.

Kamke if history holds. #1 seed hasn't been in the final here since 2002. I will be playing it @ +285 now although it was higher. Still riding the Rochus future without hedging until the final if he gets there. I really don't think he's going to lose against Yani although he'll probably make it interesting.

Rochus has been playing real well lately, so it wouldn't be a stretch for him to pull off the upset.

Too bad Yani underperformed under the pressure of being on TV. He deserved the win as this was his last chance of getting into an ATP final.

Well last year was the first time dogs did not bark overall. But this is a new year.
I remember this thread from last year, horrible Isner draw this year. Nishi maybe to win this. The names that won it I posted from last year have to include Isner now, but this one is going to be tough to call with this draw. Raonic is in there as well. This is definitely a tough one to call every year but with the olympics so close seems impossible to call, may play a few matches here but will probably stay away. This is not exactly a hall of all time greats winning this.
Past winners at Newport 2011 John Isner 2010 Mardy Fish
2009 Rajeev Ram
2008 Fabrice Santoro
2007 Fabrice Santoro
2006 Mark Philippoussis
2005 Greg Rusedski
2004 Greg Rusedski
2003 Robby Ginepri

Querrey +1400
This price looks fantastic if Querrey is motivated and playing like he did @ Wimbledon. I see Istomin as a roadblock perhaps in the QFs, but one of those two guys should make the semis if they give two shits and I'd take either of them over the trash in the bottom of the bracket. Kei Nishikori still working back into fitness and not having a ton of grass experience is a guy who could falter at a high price at some point. And don't forget to play Michael Russell somewhere for something against The Dud, Donald Young.
