    Wimbledon Odds
Draws won't be out until next Friday, but gotta think if you want Federer you should get him now while he's still at plus odds. If/when Nadal pulls out, Federer will go from his current area of +110 to I would guess -200 to -300 by the time Wimbledon starts.

Think Venus at +455 right now is a steal. She usually plays well here and as the two time defending champ, those odds are solid I think. 30-3 record at Wimbledon.

Del Potro at +3100 is intriguing. I don't think he's playing either ATP event next week, so the big question is what sort of form can he get with Wimbledon being his first match on the surface this year? A boom or bust option I think here as he could go deep or lose early if the conditions get the best of him.

Starting to think you are related to Del Potro. Why don't you recognize the guy is too immature to even make a Slam final, let alone win one?

Why can't del potro win?Just made FO semis and we've seen since last years he has been progressing. If nadal pulls out and federer gets relaxed then murray and del potro do have a real chance.

The guy is 20, so of course maturity is a question. We'll find out the next time he positions himself in a semi at a Slam. He dramatically improved his nerve from the Australian to the French. Now he knows what it would take to try & finish off a champion like Federer. Obviously the pressure and magnitude got to him at Roland Garros, up 2 sets to 1. The guy has made two QFs and a Semi in the last 3 Slams. Outside of Federer, that's the best consistency of the Top 5-6 players. If he puts himself into the QFs every year, he'll have a shot to get it done one year. I'm obviously not going to pick him to beat Federer at Federer's most successful Slam, but depending on the draw, he's worth a look. This is a guy who has gone from being unseeded at Wimbledon last year to the 17th seed at the US, 8th at Austrlia and 5th at French. Personally, I think Del Potro has the consistency on all surfaces (if he can prove it on grass) to be a consistent threat at Slams every year.

eagle dont waste your money on delpotro, it has nothing to do with him being young like crazyl trying to say there, jmdp needs pace for his game to blossom, i dont see him do well with unpredictable bounces, moreover, his net game is still a huge suspect, and that would be a reason i would not go with delpotro to win big W.

i do like both serena and venus at + line to win it.

federer at +110 is not a good bet in my opinion. to win 7 matches.

Well I won't make any decisions until the draw is out. The draw makes or breaks the value on futures picks. I don't think Federer is a bad option at all so long as his draw is decent. I mean he makes Grand Slam semis, period. You give yourself good hedging options to by getting him at even money or slightly better right now. He'll be a favorite in every match and likely a large favorite in every match. So if you think he's gonna get beat somewhere along the line, then you'll have a chance to easily make up your original investment on a Fed future and likely end up with a small profit still if he loses. Why don't you like him here? I know he's not as rock solid as in the past, but this is his best Slam tournament and with grass being such a unique surface, his experience here is huge IMO.

Pinny is down for me right now (surprise, surprise), but I think I like Murray in the area of 4/1. I will wait a few days to confirm.

Why don't you like that price? It took a ridiculous set of circumstances for him to lose last year. Otherwise, we'd be talking about 6 straight Wimbledon titles. His odds would normally be astronomically worse than this and I'm kind of surprised he didn't start out in minus territory what with Rafa's questionable status and the public perception of Federer. Considering Rafa won't be 100% either, I still think that price is pretty good.

rafa was -300 to win french this year, we all know what happened, and you could have applied the same logic, i just dont see it as a good investment option, we dont know how motivated roger going to be, and to win 7 matches at +110, there has to be better bets outthere.
