I know this is a WTA match and most of you guys dont play on women because it can be very unpredictable (so do i think), but this match is very predictable from my point of view.

Both players can play on all surfaces, but there is no doubt that Makarova is the best hardcourter of the 2. Again both players won their first 2 matches in straigt sets though Makarova's latest opponent Davis is better than Kanepi and Kulichkova. Makarova smashed Davis (with home advantage) 6-1, 6-2 so she is on fire.

Svitolina is 19/12 on hard this year while Makarova is 17/8.

H2H they have met 2 times, both on hard and both in 2015 - Makarova won them both. 7-6, 6-2 in Sydney and 6-0, 6-4 in Miami. Last year Svitolina made it to the 1. round losing to Hercog while Makarova went to the SF losing to Serena who went on to win the USO14.

I am going with Makarova to win at odds 1.65 and I am going to place 6/10 units on this one which is a very big stake for me.

Slam this one real hard, I am very confident that Makarova wins, again!

6-3, 7-5 great match from Makarova though she went down a set point after massive problems and cramps in her leg.

The props were fair. Makarova might be a good fade next round, depending on the odds.

Fading Makarova will depend on the cirumtances of her leg and the fact that see called for a medical at 40-40 in the end of second set because her leg was in cramps.

There are none. Injuries are kept under wraps, only interviews and such might give a glimpse of what is going on. But I think Makarova retired with the same issue in a couple of weeks back. Good call, btw. Anyways, Mladenovic has been hot as well lately and she has the power game as opposed to Svitolina. I think she has a chance to at least extend the next match, which might spell trouble for Makarova.
