Reasoning: Sara Errani is a good hard court player but we feel Sabine Lisicki is overpriced in terms of the odds offered for her as match winner. A significant factor to consider when betting on the German is her physical condition. When he’s hindered with relatively minor injuries, it can have a big affect on her game as she’s so reliant on being the aggressor and a power player.
As she showed in her match against Ana Ivanovic, she’s certainly in good shape at the moment. She even managed to set a new all time record for the fastest ever serve in that match (131mph as you where wondering)
They have met once before, this was a straight sets victory for Errani but its not that relevant to this match. It was played on a different surface (clay) for one, and it was back in 2013. We believe Lisicki is only now reaching her peak, whereas Errani is reaching the end of her career and it’s likely to show in this match as its sure to be a very physical encounter.
On the Canadian hard courts in the summer heat, a player like Lisicki can really thrive by constantly attacking Errani’s defenses. We think she’ll have too much for the Italian and progress into the next round.
