Hey HC. I don't use Betfair and am curious - if you for example bet 100 USD here and win 210 USD, does some percentage of these go to the website as "rake"?

hC, using betfair for your action need not throw u off your game one bit...simply

* subtract 1 from their price, then...

*multiply this by (1-commission)...eg, if it's 6.5% multiply by 0.935...then...

*add the 1 back in...voila, effective price (aka. after-commission/after-"tax" price)

do this manually with a a calculator each time it's a bit of a pain...but you can easily work it into whatever excel book/sheet

Hey HC, I am interested in switching to Betfair (and probably invest a bit more there once I have the $$ for a solid bankroll, and start getting involved in in-play trading), is there any general advice you could give? Even with the money taken from the site (the commission), the in-play odds there often seem really sick!

Avoid deposit charges, realize liquidity is far higher in play than pre-play. I'll think about it and get back to you if I figure anything else out.
