The more I think about that, the more I like Ferrer ML (and a bit less Ferrer to cover the spread although it's probably still good). GL to all who are not going to take Nadal 1.10 lol.

I'm on the Ferrer handicap and ML also but I'm a bit worried that so many people here and elsewhere seem to like these bets. That rarely bodes well for me. Either way I figure if he can beat Nadal in Monte Carlo and has won 3 out of their last 4, he can do it again. At least if he loses he'll go down fighting.

Only thing I am worried about is the fact that Nadal will come out with a tactic to combat what Ferrer has been doing. Ferrer has beaten Nadal past few times by just hitting to Nadal's backhand and waiting for Nadal to just make the unforced error. Think Nadal will be well aware of this and come up with a plan to beat that strategy.

IMO this should not bother you too much, in my short experience in tennis betting, I have found such matches to occur often. A huge favourite/mainstream name like Nadal/Serena/Na Li is facing a tough (but not very well known to the wide public) opponent and odds are like 1.10 for the favourite. Every semi-decent regular tennis bettor you read from in the forums is on the underdog, it's so strange that you wonder wtf isn't there anything wrong? No, it's just that there will always be guys out there who'll be on the favourite.

(I know today's match is a bit different, as Ferrer is a pretty well known name as well but the situation is so-so the same.)
