Federer is far from dominant on the Red Clay. Gulbis is solid on clay. It will be a tough match.

Had the same reaction when I first saw the line, but Fed is just way outta his prime I feel like this could be such a trap play, BUT nonetheless i will be backing Fed 1/2 bet on the spread -3 and half the bet on ML. There is definitely nobody more motivated to return to a French Open final which is really what it's all about. If there is a tourney that Federer has been very unsuccessful as, it would be the French. He wants it bad no doubt about it, especially since its the latter part of his career. At -205, currently, there is big value here backing Fed.

I know Federer is pretty much is a 2nd tier player on his last leg but this loss surprised me.
He choked off that 2nd set hard up a break and never recovered.

I dropped a unit on him in parlays with my MLB action today, but glad I didn't go too crazy with it.
I didn't see any of the SBr guys going hard on Feds so it kinda scared me off a little.
I gotta figure some ppl lost some money betting Feds live during the match. Books probably cleaned up there.

The tips for Gulbis were 29-24 on TI which actually surprised me. I think for all those who took Gulbis pre match and cleaned up, there were those who (rightfully mind you) took the favourite live when he was down so they could get better odds on him as you should. More times than not that strategy works ie those who grabbed Sharapova at +200 live vs Stosur earlier but when it doesn't work, that's how the books make back that cash they lost on those who took the dog pre match. Yet another example of why you need to be an absolute dumb fukker to not have a profitable book.
