Berdych - Cilic @ 1.45
- Berdych is very motivated to end his title drought, 16 months since last title
- More experienced, the Czech has won one ATP1000 and two ATP500 events in the past while Cilic has only 250s in his resume
- Berdych didn't play last week and also had the earlier semifinal yesterday so he should be the fresher one
Ferrer - Fognini @ 1.30
- Fognini might have all the talent in the world but with his mentality he is never going to make anything significant in his career. He had 2-0*, 40-0 lead against Robredo yesterday, didn't take any of the three break points and ended up losing the first set 6-3 and being down *5-4 in the second. Yes he came back to win the match but against Ferrer you just can't afford to gift games or sets.
- Ferrer has lost 7 finals in a row, you know he will play his heart out to end that streak. And what would be better place than Buenos Aires, a tournament he has won two times previously and is the defending champion.
- Numbers don't lie, H2H 6-0 in favour of the Spaniard. Ferrer is equally good in defence but his attacking play is better and he is more solid, not making many unforced errors. Also his work ethic is second to none.
Alund - Klizan @ 1.60
- Now Alund isn't a world beater but what has Klizan done since September 2012? Yeah, third round at AO as a lucky loser beating an injured Isner and Blaz Rola (who?) before getting straight setted by Stephane Robert including a bagel. Klizan retired in a challenger event November last year, I'm not sure what's the injury but it might still affect his play.
- Klizan has never played a clay event in South America. In 2010 he played two HC challengers in Brazil and in 2011 the Challenger Tour Finals indoors, not enjoying much success. On the other hand, Alund basicly lives off these clay tournaments in SA. Last year he made it to semifinals in Sao Paolo (which was replaced by Rio de Janeiro this year), taking a set off Nadal.
- Alund is 9/3 on clay this year, having lost to Haase, Almagro and Lorenzi who are not that bad on clay. Klizan has played only one match on this surface this year, beating Ricardo Hocevar in three sets in the qualifiers.
Total odds for this parlay on my book 3.02.
