Take BERANKIS over Vasselin later today
Vasselin had his big win over Karlovic last match but that wont be the same case with Berankis today. Karlovic is an aging player and his form was terrible. That's not a good gauge of Vasselin's current form.

Berankis has been very solid on hardcourts this year. He's very familiar with the courts here at Delray and I expect a solid win from him today.

    Best of Luck

I'm not touching that one with a 20 foot pole.

        Hope you win!

Don't let Berankis' small size fool you. The little mini mite can flat out pound. He has the potential to be the next Ferrer.

Magic, why are you so sure that Berankis get this job done?

Roger-Vasellin is a great player that really showed some good tennis last 2 seasons.

Berankis is a serve machine but R-V can definitely match that with his own stable serve as well as ground strokes. More value on R-V in my opinion. Can you motivate your pick a little further, please.

Berankis' strength is not his serve. He has a steady serve but his strength is more towards a solid groundstrokes and baseline game. Vasselin has a strong serve but he doesnt tend to keep it past a set. His groundstrokes start to fade in the latter part of matches thus fitness is questionable.

I've watched quite a bit of Berankis matches and have followed him since he was 18 and turned pro from the juniors circuit. He is very fit physically. He can pound it stroke for stroke and last a full 3 sets if need be. He tends to get stronger in the latter part of matches as well.

Best of luck on whoever you play.

Berankis looks like he doesnt even want to play today. Hitting every every shot into the net.....played like a chump.

                            Sorry about the loss guys.

Even though I don't always follow you, I'm thankful you share your picks and thoughts. I don't expect you to make winning bets, but all the better if you do, which seems to be most of the time.

LoL. I wish I would have seen this thread. I had ERV first and then switched to Berankis, but it seems I rarely win picks both you and I like. Was going ERV originally because I thought Berankis would be worn down from playing a lot this week ... didn't trust my gut and paid for it. C'est la vie. Get 'em next time.
