    Thursday's Far East F-Bombs
Guaranteed to make you drop a dozen.

    [Tokyo] Tipsarevic +110
I guess I am totally missing the boat on this one as it seems from most of my research for this one that Milos Raonic is a mortal lock. Gave my two cents on motivation for Mr.T this week as he chases a spot in the year end Finals. He struggled a bit against Simon's vanilla game plan to open, but rebounded with two solid sets and then roasted Chuidnelli. Raonic bested Stepanek and then benefited from Troicki retiring early in the 1st yesterday. Their meeting in Chennai in January probably yields about what to expect. Heavy serves. Break opps at a premium. Tie breaks likely. To me, there is no doubt who is the more complete player - Mr.T. Ground strokes are better. Fitness better. Raonic does hold more power, but is the typical Gorilla Ball style. In a toss-up, plus money for me + the better player and about 20 F-bombs.

    [Beijing] Youzhny +235 *0.5 unit
Youzhny has played reasonably well this week. His serve has held up and that is a key for this one vs. Tsonga. JWT played his usual lazy ball in his opening match vs. Istomin which ended up with Tsonga winning in a third set tie break. He got a walkover against Davydenko. As usual, this revolves around the level of engagement for Tsonga. If he plays lazy ball, Youzhny will have some chances. Youzhny's success will hinge on whether or not he converts the small # of break opps he is likely to get.

    [Beijing] Querrey 2-0 [+110] *1 unit/ Querrey 2-1 [+280] *0.5 unit
Simple desire & surface for me in this one. Querrey looking to continue his quality play on outdoor hard courts this year, while Lopez can check out whenever it's convenient. Lopez played reasonably well so far, but Querrey whipped him in Winston-Salem in straights and while a repeat might not be as easy - I do expect the Samurai to prevail if his serves stays strong. Taking both results on Querrey for plus money with either one netting a nifty profit as long as Querrey wins.

Raonic hit one decent backhand all match and it wound up being the point that put him up in the last tie break. Not sure why more players dont really go after his backhand as it is pretty weak.

        Pretty much the expected match.

I couldnt believe he hit 5 aces in a row in that tie breaker, made me sick. Those serves killed Tipserivic.

Any realistic chance for raonic to break into top10?

I don't see why he can't. He's already just about there and his game isn't very evolved at his age. If he actually works on his ground strokes, he could be a beast.

Sam Querrey, turning easy straight sets into a 3rd set death trap.

Tough day for me too; was on Tipsarevic, Zhang, Tursunov, Radwanska, Lopez.

I think your title pretty much sums up the day.

I thought about taking Nishikori & Youzhny - hoping to split the dogs. His style seems to give Berdych fits, plus playing in Japan - maybe an extra boost. Instead I only took Youzhny who got crushed.
