#4There has to be changes at the fed level first and it would be within state lines, likely not online for a bunch of years.Comment -

#5Promising article. This could actually be just a few years away. Here's hoping it's like Vegas in terms of betting options and not just NFL spread parlays like DelawareComment -

#11if it ever comes about that multiple states have online sports betting (and maybe even legal across state lines) I wonder how much vig we will pay, and if the vig is too high will it mean that they cut off use of the offshore books even more than now, or would that still be an option.
I know no one can know the answer to this, just saying.....Comment -

#13Politicians in this country intentionally created vague rules and laws regarding to gambling, so that they don't offend any big interest groups (horse racing, lottery, Indians, sport leagues, conservatives etc), and can also confiscate gambling fund when they feel like it.Comment -

#14If the US would just legalize it the tax revenue would probably offset the national deficet before long.Comment -

#16Kudos to NJ and Christie for attempting this, but the problem is NJ is way behind where Delaware was two years ago in attempting the same thing. In Delaware, there was no federal ban on sports betting, same as Oregon, Montana and Nevada.
Delaware didn't even need to overturn the federal ban, did everything 100 percent legal, and the feds still shut it down, limiting them to the sports lottery.
NJ has to overturn the federal law, which will be impossible, because that would open it up to all 50 states. The feds will stronghold a judge at some point in the process to shut it down, just like Delaware.Last edited by Seattle Slew; 01-18-12, 02:29 PM.Comment -
