SBG has stolen from lots of players over the years. They won't just delete balances but they will find reasons to void winnings. There was a tout in CT on the radio who was giving plays. He went on a good win streak and SBG went back and deleted the players that bet on the tips from the radio siting a "syndicate rule". Lots of victims there. There was a case where a player had account at their different brands with no rules against it...two totally different books on the surface. SBG confiscated all the funds in one acct.

Don't get me wrong, I'm aware of the F1 situation, the Tout/Syndicate situation, and a couple of other incidents with SBG over the past few years, and I would never "recommend" them to anyone, but I do from time-to-time add a comment when I read something that's not exactly true. Guys like "cyberinvestor" (who has probably never even played there) just repeat what they read on the forums, without really knowing what's going on.

Regarding cyberinvestor's comments, well, basically, he's wrong. If someone is operating alone and bets only the "meat and potatoes" stuff (moneylines, pointspreads, totals) on the big four sports (football, basketball, baseball, hockey) at SBG Global, there have been virtually no issues over the last 3 or 4 years.

From a personal standpoint, in the past three years, I have twice turned a 4-figure deposit into almost 6-figures at SBG, and have gotten paid in a relatively timely manner in both instances. That's not to say that I wasn't a bit on edge when my balance got that high, but in the end, they paid without a great deal of hassle (just the typical Photo ID and Utility Bill request). I also know of a few others who have ran their balances up to mid-five-figures and have gotten paid.

Again, I'm not saying that they won't stiff someone tomorrow, but based on their recent past (3-4 years), if you're just betting the "basics" at SBG, you likely won't have a problem.

If SBG Global's rating took into consideration how hot some of their clerks are, it would be a bit higher.

I wagered at SBG Global and lost $3,500. I then posted up and got lucky on a $50 8 team parlay. I ended up winning $6,800. I logged into my account and I got a message that my account was closed. I called support who said I was a "steam player" and they would refund my money.

So, yes I actually got paid but I have heard of many others who did not in my situation (being called a "steam player"). Since when is an 8 team parlay on NHL (1 team), NBA (2 teams), and NFL (5 teams) not meat and potatoes or a very "square" wager?

Your statements are ridiculous...."I won't say they won't stiff someone tomorrow but if your are just betting "basics" at SBG you likely won't have a problem." If you believe the first part of your sentence then you should never say the latter part of your sentence. Since there is no evidence they wouldn't stiff someone tomorrow, based on all the experiences (whether you agree with me or not I don't care) and things people like Bill have said, how could anyone say anything but "RUN FROM SBG" because you never know what they will do.

Under no circumstance should anyone bet at SBG. There are plenty of other good books out there to risk betting at SBG when they offer nothing different from the others and in fact you always have to sweat a payout if you win. Wondering whether they will target you as a "steam" or "syndicate" player. Yeah, my $50 8 teamer was a big syndicate move!

So let me get this straight ...

Assuming that your personal story is even true (which I have my doubts about) ... you are saying that yes, you got paid your full balance from SBG, but that they also gave you the boot. Well, that's a far cry from your original post where you said that "if you are gambling in an effort to actually make money, it won't be long until they shut you down and steal your balance."

And it looks like your second paragraph proves the point that I made in Paragraph 1 of my previous post ... that SBG didn't steal from you, but that you "have heard of many others (steam players) who did not (get paid) in my situation". As I suspected, you are making your comments based on what you "have heard", not based on a first-hand experience that involved your own account.

And regarding the stuff that you say that you "have heard" about "steam players" at SBG ... I call bullshit. I have been reading these forums much longer than you have, and although SBG have pulled some shitty stuff over the years, there has been nothing in the recent past involving account confiscations of "steam players".

I've seen your type many times ... guys who like to comment in a thread just to try to sound knowledgeable ... who base their comments not on their own experiences, but on what they might have casually read over the years.

I respect the opinions and comments of someone like Trident, who actually has first-hand experience with an SBG screw-job.

But opinions from guys like you, who bastardize other people's anecdotal stories and kind of / sort of pretend that the same thing happened to them ? Not a lot of respect.

Ok, so you are saying that Bill Dozer (who is in a position to hear all these stories) is full of it too???? He is saying the same thing as I said.

              That Trident is incorrect??

That I am lying? You said you don't like people who base their comments on others, well, I am basing it on my own experience. Don't want to believe me, no sweat off my back. I am not the only one saying these things FROM EXPERIENCE.

It appears to me that you just don't like my comments. Too funny. Another person who just wants to attack me. I am attacking SBG from experience (which is repeated by Bill and others). I am advising people not to bet there because really there is no reward (since they offer nothing more than many other, better books) and a lot of risk. You have yourself said in your previous post "I would never "recommend" them to anyone". So, WHAT ARE WE ARGUING ABOUT? Your posts make no sense. I am saying not to bet at SBG and you are saying you wouldn't recommend them EITHER. We somehow agree but you are attacking the reasoning for which I make my assessment?

I am saying that nobody should play at SBG because you never know if they will label you as a sharp. You don't like my experience on this part, fine, Bill has a variety of instances on them. I was labeled as a sharp player after hitting an 8 team parlay. Hardly a steam move.

Sounds like people SHOULD NOT risk playing at SBG by both our posts. You have chose not to attack Trident or Bill who say the same damn things but instead want to attack me. I will never understand a handful of the posters here.
