I only see positive comments on here about hertiage, and yes heritage is great. I just feel a little misled on something that happened to me recently. I thought this book was great because they didn't treat their customers like a # and would work with you. Anyway - here is what happened.
A few weeks ago I contacted live chat support to make a deposit, they told me that I was eligible for this promotion where after a certain # of deposits with no withdraws you get a free deposit. The free deposit was the equivalent of my lowest deposit of the last 5 consecutive. I was over the moon to say the least and figured this must be one of the great things people always talk about with heritage. I took the promotion, obviously. I subsequently lost the promotion. A couple of deposits later i took a very small withdrawel. Probably somethign close to 5% of the money I lost to heritage over the course of the story I am telling.
So... I started a new string of deposits with no withdraw (yes, I know I suck, but that's not the point of this thread). After the first couple I would have toned down my deposit amounts, but I thought hey what the hell, I should keep my deposits at least as high as the first couple, because I want to get the free deposit at the max amount (not at my smallest deposit amount). After I subsequently lost those deposits I requested the free deposit, and was told it was a "football only promotion". This was never mentioned to me in the chat, even though the promotion was a couple days from being over at the time I was priveyed to the information about the promotion. I also almost solely bet basketball, so it didn't occur to me I would only get the promotion for football?
The point is my deposit behavior after my first couple of lost deposits was solely based on the expectation of the free deposit. Being a new client there, and not being told it was a football only promotion, I assumed it was one of the ongoing perks of being at Heritage and sucking ass like I was.
I explained this all to them, and they wouldn't do shit for me. I feel very misled, and a little disapointed. i won't be leaving them, because they are still the best for Americans, but that doesn't mean I don't feel a little shafted.
Any thoughts? Think I should pursue this any furthur, do I have a leg to stand on? I don't feel like anyone is really at fault here and it is a unfortunate circumstance. I just figured heritage was a customer friendly book, and would work with me, since they unknowingly misled their customer. And not just any customer, a customer who has been handing over his paychecks to them for a couple of weeks.
It reminds me of when I was 16 an experience I had with Verizon Wireless. I was on a 400 text message plan for 3.99 / month 10cent/text after that. I was called one afternoon and sold a new promotion for "unlimited texts" for 4.99/month. Was never told it was only a 3 month deal. After 3 months I got a cell phone bill for like 200 dollars. Not only did the unlimited plan cancel unexpectadly, but instead of reverting me back to my old plan, they had me on no plan and I was paying 15 cents / text. Classic bait and switch.
